What resource did you use for trails in the Black Hills? I've always been partial to Fun Treks for CO and Moab, but they don't have one for SD. Are there any websites or other guides you recommend?

A roll of duct tape seriously worked for me in my FJ60 Land Cruiser. It was an '83 and had no factory cupholders.

If they're the specs you posted above, they're the wrong bolt pattern for a TJ.

Not necessarily, it varies from vehicle to vehicle. I installed OME 2.5" springs and shocks on my '02 without dropping the t-case or installing an SYE and it had no vibes.

I read as you were getting the LJ frame and body from separate donors. Does the source for the frame and body not have a title and dash with VIN for it? That seems like it would be the easiest route, as many others have suggested.

I don't know. In the interior swap threads I've seen, it appeared to be on the dash and presented a dilemma when folks were swapping dashes for a different color.

@myjeep3 - do I have this correct: Frame: LJ1 Tub: LJ2 Dash, interior, and drivetrain less engine: TJ1 Engine: GM (Truck1?) So you're combining 4 vehicles into 1 and want to use the VIN on the dash of the one that doesn't match either the frame or tub VINs?

Thanks for following along! I'm pleased with the change I made. I don't regret having a hardtop one bit. I've made a few trips in it and it is so much more comfortable to ride in than the old TJ just due to the difference in sound. Correct, I was lucky to take my daughter to Ouray last Labor...
