Within the last couple months I had the transmission completely and professionally flushed, and got with Mark about a new PCM.

When I start the Jeep up in the morning it shifts perfect no problems no issues but 20 minutes or so into the drive, seemingly when the transmission is warmed up and is in full action, it has problems shifting between one and two, if I stop at a red light and go to take off sometimes it will chatter like it didn't drop all the way down into first gear when I stopped. I have the right transmission fluid in it, I've checked it right after I've gotten home from driving around and the level is above where it should be. It's got a brand new wix oil filter in it.

So I'm thinking either I ended up with a bad PCM from Mark which is possible and not everything's perfect, or I'm looking at possibly needing to have the transmission rebuilt/ replaced. I have no engine codes or anything like that as far as the transmission is concerned. Thoughts, ideas, recommendations are all welcome.

I'd be more inclined to think it was the solenoids before a bad PCM from Mark, but lots of things are possible.

Have you called Mark yet to discuss it?

I sent him an email regarding the whole situation, also because he wanted me to test whether his tune or my Super Chips flashback tune was going to be better Suited( turns out I can't use my flash pack too tune the Jeep because it's not a stock tune in the computer to begin with). That was earlier this week and I have yet to hear from him but I'm being patient.

Often as not you can hear solenoids clicking.

If you're brave/stupid enough put the Jeep on four jack stands and have the kid or some irresponsible adult with a beverage run it through the gears while you lie underneath with a screwdriver to the pan and your ear.

Don't forget the pictures or video.

You probably also could figure out the wiring and use a test probe to induce clicking but no fun in that.

Crazily enough, this is the process for running pressure tests on the 32RH (no idea on the 42RLE). I feel like it could also be done by removing the rear driveshaft but the load on the ouput may be relevant.
