Kinda reminded me of a Carson Top. And I agree it looks off.

My guess is that they mounted the body on a Blazer or K10 chassis.

There's not much that catches me off-guard when it comes to cars, but this bug absolutely did. I love it! That looks like it would be an absolute hoot to cruise around in! Gotta be one of the coolest things I've seen in this thread!

So, as to whether or not this was an actual Dodge Charger, I do believe that this shows that it is not:
What you see here appears to be the center post of a 4-door (sedan, I would assume) that has been cut down. Looks like the Charger sheet metal was placed over the top of a less desirable (read that as "more willing to destroy") vehicle, like a Panther platform car. I scanned through the Facebook link, but didn't see anything on the car's build. I apologize if I missed it.

Yes it would appear that it isn't a original Charger. And he actioned it off after the jump and donates the money to charity.
