The seat was shot in my 94 when I got it. Luckily I was able to find one at the local Pull a Part out of an XLT that was in fantastic shape and used much nicer material than my stock seat. Ford used the same size seat for a very long time so lots of choices out there for a swap.

Everyone had at least 35 inch tires, lockers, armor, beadlocks, and a total disregard for body damage. I had the shortest wheelbase of the group, which helped on the entrance obstacle, but hurt farther along. If you can make it past the first obstacle you should be fine. This is not my group...

The only point i'm trying to make is that you can get into serious legal trouble moving VIN tags around. If one were to do that I would do as suggested and keep that a secret. If you think law enforcement does not use the internet you are mistaken

Some states take moving or modifying VIN plates very seriously.

The main VIN plate yes. But it is also on the driver's door jam, front crossmember and frame IIRC

My daughter's TJ is a completely stock Sahara automatic. It drives absolutely amazing. We have no plans to ever modify it. It does great on forest service roads and easy rated trails.

Speaking from experience I would not recommend running the SX series Swampers on a Jeep that sees more pavement than trail time.

I found out that ARE makes a HD version of the MX and CX shells that have an interior frame that allows 500 pounds on the rails. So I ordered one. Seemed more elegant than a rack over the shell.

I bought my current tow rig in January of 21 for $42k. Which I thought was pretty expensive. Now the same truck is selling for $10k-15k more. They have changed nothing. Crazy
