Chris Jumonville

My name is Chris Jumonville, and I am the owner and founder of The Official Jeep Wrangler TJ Forum. I founded this forum out of my love and passion for the Jeep Wrangler TJ. I've owned more cool cars in my life than I can count, but to this day, my Jeep Wrangler TJ remains the most fun and enjoyable vehicle I've ever owned.

I live in Salem, Oregon with my wife Katie and our two daughters, Claire and Chatlotte! I'm definitely what you would call a family man and then some. Oregon is a perfect place for a Jeep Wrangler due to all the off-road trails, beaches and more. I own my own business called Digital Sky Design as a professional web designer. When I'm not working, my biggest hobbies—aside from my Jeep—include playing guitar, working out at the gym, traveling and spending time with my family.

The majority of forums out there are owned by a parent company who specializes in buying up internet forums with the intention of monetizing them to make money. Because of that, they want to shove as many ads down your throat as possible to make money off it. Where they lose touch with the end user is in the fact that the guys who run these forums are not even Jeep Wrangler enthusiasts (or owners) at all. They're guys whose job it is to monetize a forum and make money off of it. Because of that, they're probably not spending as much time as they could really making the forum a nice place for owners and enthusiasts.

My goal when I created this forum was to have a forum that is clean, non-cluttered, easy to navigate, works well on mobile devices (if you haven't tried this forum out on your smartphone or tablet you're missing out). I promised myself I would never, ever use those annoying VigiLink ads (the ones that highlight every word possible in a post with links to products you don't even want) either. The most I ever envisioned myself doing was possibly putting small banners at the top and bottom of the forum for Jeep Wrangler TJ specific vendors that only cater to the TJ audience. An ad like that isn't something I find annoying, because it's generally something that I myself as a consumer might click on just to see what they're selling. I make it very transparent that the only way I make money off this site is by Amazon affiliate links and donations from members. Do not think I'm getting rich of this site, because I'm not even anywhere close to that. The money I do make off of those ads and donations goes to paying for the high costs of running our dedicated server, software licenses, forum improvements, etc. You will never at any point see this forum overrun with annoying advertisements like all the other forums out there, that's a promise! This forum is regularly maintained and we're constantly adding new features. You'll also notice that this forum (unlike almost all the others) runs entirely on an SSL connection (hence the HTTPS and padlock in your web browser's URL bar). Because of this, any information you submit on this forum is encrypted using the latest SSL technology.

I encourage you to tell all your friends about this forum to help spread the word! The more members we can get, the better.

Welcome to The Offical Jeep Wrangler TJ Forum!
