Wildman's TJ is getting a face lift

ID & MT are OUT..... I want warmer weather if I move.
I lived in TX so long. I'm tired of 2 seasons. Summer and ?

We like the four seasons. I'll only get that in ID, MT, and UT AZ is a hot box. If only I could split time there and in ID or something. That would be nice. Southern ID has some good rock crawling, but it's kinda ugly!

I've lived in 4 seasons for most of my life with places that had 2.5 seasons like Alaska.

So places like AZ, NM, TX are on my list of possible places to move. CA would be great but I HATE the politics. FL isn't on my possible places as I want wheeling closer.

Motobuilt has bumpers @30% off right now.

We have 4 seasons! 70, 80, 90, and 100

Yep we have 3 seasons where I live right now. Winter/Spring/Summer but for some reason Fall is forgotten about. And I'm pretty much done with white shit falling out of the sky. If it was for 2-5 days and then melted off and the highs were in the 50's most of the time during winter I'd be good.

Which is why TX, NM, AZ & UT are my looking at places. Honestly I'm thinking about just living full time in a RV and I'll travel with the weather. Head north in the summer and hit all those states where they have cold/snow in the winter and then head south in the fall and winter in southern states.
Just got to get my kid done with school so she can make a livable wage and sell my place.

I had this bumper sans the bars. Did not work with my AR or SL. Had to trim it.View attachment 292182

Good to know. At this point I think I'll stick with my home made bumper but I do like the LOOK of this bumper. Sucks that it has to modified to work with the anti-rock or SwayLoc.

No. Just trimmed it. Then bought the Savvy before Moab this year and switched it out.

I like the radiator hoop bar which is why I was looking at this bumper. I know GR makes some similar in aluminum but after all the issues pointed out with it I was steering clear.

With all the work you're doing, trimming up the bumper to make it work is trivial. The part that would need to be trimmed is the base for the grill guard hoop, so the only potential issue could be how far you have to cut into it.

Personally, for the theme you're building on, the Motobuilt bumper cleans up the front end considerably and probably shaves 40+ lbs of the nose. It might at least be worth giving them a call to see if they've had any experience with the SL and this bumper.

FWIW.... :)

It looks like the MB bumper has a recessed winch tray. I’m not sure if it would work with the big boy Warn you have

I've looked at this a lot and think I'd be able to trim the lip and be able to mount the 8274 winch in it.
I'd have to add a mounting plate it also. So yes it isn't designed for a upright winch but from looking at it I do think I'd be possible.

As Irun suggested I need to call them and talk with them about it.
