My first game system came with different overlays for the TV. The only real game was Pong.

Than I got a Texas instruments game system with cassettes. The Atari 2600 was a huge improvement over the others. I played that to death.

I had a PS1, then a PS2 after that the games became to hard for an old guy.

I played a lot of galaxian, and Pacman, but my all time favorite was James Bond's Goldeneye on PS2.

Had the same Magnavox Odyssey system in the early 70's. The last system I owned was the Atari 2600 (still have it)

started on NES with Mario bros 3 & 1. grew up with the n64 (goldeneye), ps1 (Driver) and ps2 (need for speed). ended up with a xbox 360 playing southpark stick of truth but gave it away after a few weeks, im on the same boat as you games were getting too involved/hard. games were getting less and less fun the more involved they became. never really got out of just a game or two at the most per system, found it much more entertaining to go outside. my sister on the otherhand... game magazines, walk throughs, collecting... dont know what she found so entertaining, many hours of play on her end.

picked up a Nintendo switch about several months ago, bought Mario kart 8.. pretty much mindless entertainment so no irritation on my end playing it. overall though once you play through it once its not worth playing through again. currently my Nintendo switch has been in the original box in storage for the past several months.

I've have a collection. I like Kirby for NES and GTA 2 for PS1. I have the 2600 and a pong console but they don't get much use. I still like plain old Super Mario, Metroid, and Kid Icarus. I've played the newer stuff but it really doesn't have any meaning to me.

I've heard duck hunt doesn't work on newer digital TVs because of the lag, that would suck.

Duck hunt doesn’t work anymore. Nor do all the cool gun games I have for Dreamcast.

At least I’m not the only one who still has a 2600, also have the 4600. Actually I’m not sure if it’s a 4600 it’s newer than the 2600 though.

We had the first gen Nintendo growing up. The typical Super Mario, Duck Hunt, and a couple other games. We always had a blast playing it. Its been a couple years now, but my wife and I bought a Super Nintendo Classic on Ebay. Its the same super Nintendo console from back in the day, but manufactured in 2020 with 600 games saved into it, no separate game pack to shove in. We've only played a small handful of games that we remembered growing up. Super Mario World still has all the classic sounds, pixelated look and characteristics. Super nostalgic and fun.

Other systems--I currently have an Xbox one with FarCry, Red Dead Redemption and Resident Evil 2 installed, though I havent turned it on in quite some time. I had originally bought it to play Resident Evil 2 when the remake of the 1998 playstation game came out.

I had a friend with an NES that we played Mario and Duck Hunt on all the time. By the time I actually got my own console it was an SNES. Countless hours playing Donkey Kong Country.

Moved on to N64 where the game of choice was of course GoldenEye. Got to where I had beat the game on every difficulty and unlocked all the bonus features. I played at a buddies house a year ago or so and it turns out that skill is NOT like riding a bike.

Got an XBOX 360 and played through the Gears of War campaign in every difficulty. Never got into the online multiplayer stuff. I guess I'm just too much of a loner. When games starting putting the emphasis on that instead of the campaigns, I lost interest. I haven't played anything consistently, except for a stretch playing Rock Band on PS3, since Gears of War.

Currently have an XBOX One that we basically use like it's a Roku with a BluRay player. I did get it with a Gears of War bundle like I might jump in and play some of that but I haven't opened it once in 2 years.

My all time favorite game was Socom Confortation. Third person shooting game for ps4. The first game I played online with and I was hooked.
Of course Nitendo 64 came first. Still love all the classics especially bad fur day and goldeneye.
I used to play exbox a lot when I would go over to my cousins house for parties. We will play halo all night. Such a good came as well.
PlayStation 3 or 2 don’t remember but I do remember playing Midnight club 3 Dub edition. I still remember a song that came out in the game something like “Riders on the storm”.
Now I sometimes play Call of Duty Mobile on my phone.

I really enjoy the Uncharted games the most. Can’t wait until they remaster them for PS5. I love this graphics on this PS5 so much.
