There’s been a high recommendation of the OME 2.5” kit from about everyone in the market for a smaller lift.

I have only been able to find the 2” lift... is there a 2.5”?? Sorry guys relatively I’m new to Jeeps.

My only thought is everyone is talking about the HD kit vs the regular duty kit?

Generally my goal is to start with the 2.5” with 33’s and add the 1” body lift if needed.

The HD lift kit provides roughly 2.5" of Suspension Lift. It is not advertised that way, but asking around here you will find it provides a true 2.5".

X2. It's not really called a 2.5" lift. We all just refer to it as that, because it yields much closer to 2.5" as oppose to 2". I ran it on my TJ for a while, and it measured out almost exactly at 2.5".

That’s a good plan if it will be sufficient for your wheelin style

Awesome lift. I think I debated on a lift for a solid month, but glad I went with the OME. Looking back I wish I would have just ordered it from dpgoffroad because their kit has everything included that you will need. Perfect setup for 33s. Def go heavy duty springs if you plan on adding bumpers or a winch.

Pay a call to Dirk on DPG offroad before order anything OME, then make up decisions. Spring rate is the major decision factor, so hear the expert may guide you better.
I debate quite long on this lift and end up ordering the Ultimate lift kit form DPG offroad, one shot all parts from the same vendor and the correct price. I do follow all the cheat sheet suggestions and instructions and have zero vibes or issues. I have 0 complaints about this kit, on or off road handles great. You will end up gaining 2.5-3" and you may fit 33" without BL, but as comes on the kit and is just 1 additional inch won't hurt to have it.
DPG offroad customer service is top notch as well.

The springs are 2" lift springs. OME adds 10mm spacers to the springs to get the 2.5" advertised lift. When ordering, be sure the kit comes with the spacers. The HD springs won't change your lift height, only the spring rate for heavier bumpers/winch/tire carrier, etc.

This is SOOOO true!

I switched from my initial Pro Comp 2" spring lift kit to the OME 2"HD lift and didnt gain squat with the HD version. In fact, I may have loss some...

I do carry alot of weight (bumpers, armor, winch, etc) of the vehicle, but thought I would have got more out of OME's HD kit over a Pro Comp....

The rear springs also ride stiffer, when the vehicle is empty of cargo.

Anyone wanna buy a OME 2" HD Spring Lift Kit?

Very true. Don't be suckered into believing you'll gain more height with the HD springs in the OME kit. They're just meant for the added weight of heavier aftermarket bumpers, winches, etc.

I had the OME HD lift on my TJ, it rode amazing, better than factory.

Even empty, you still have a lot of stuff on your rig. Should still ride ok? Mine's way lighter than your jeep. Guess I'm just used to the ride.

Maybe...Just the springs?

yeah; its rides so rough, it rattles the rear tire carrier and rack driving down 880.... arrrrggg!

But with the cans full and the tent atop, it was fine; but then I sacrificed ride height...

Springs only adjust ride height based on weight load. Ride quality is the shocks job. Focus on them. Are you bottoming out a lot?

Got the OME Shocks with the kit, which "are" suppose to be better than ProComp E3000; so I don't believe it's the shocks.

I think the Stiffer springs will not allow the shocks to absorb the bumps....

Where does the yellow spacer go exactly? I bought a kit off CL and the yellow spacers really did not fit the top off the springs where I thought they would go
