I mean seriously, how hard is it to go stick a square on a factory fender to see what the angle is? And before anyone asks, yes, both sides are identical, and the factory fender is a nice clean 90 degree angle.
Barely slowed us down. I have a neat angle grinder with aluminum cutting discs.Damn that sucks. That will put a quick stop on build progress
So where did you make your cut?Barely slowed us down. I have a neat angle grinder with aluminum cutting discs.
Made the lower cut first to see if that would let it bend upward at the front enough without distorting the top edge. It did so that was good. Then we articulated it and tried to turn the tire, then the next upper cut was made to slide the fender opening larger to clear the tire turning. We had to slide it back almost 3".So where did you make your cut?
Are you taking it somewhere for the aluminum welding?Made the lower cut first to see if that would let it bend upward at the front enough without distorting the top edge. It did so that was good. He's got a really nice pop rivet tool. Are you taking it somewhere for the aluminum welding?
What size tire?Made the lower cut first to see if that would let it bend upward at the front enough without distorting the top edge. It did so that was good. I do but my aluminum welder is going to swing by and pick them up like he always does when I have work for him. He's got a really nice pop rivet tool.
I know I'm a hack about a lot of things, just not that much of one although I will drill and flat bolt some pieces on the backside so the welder knows exactly what I need.Self tappers. Pointy end toward the tire.
I have aluminum foil tape, even better.Silver duct tape and you'll never know.

Jokes aside, that shit hit some of us really hard on cognition.Pretty sure covid is the reason for that. It seems to be the go-to reason for pretty much everything these days.
