Basket's Build

Awesome! I've never done 4 mile, not sure I've even heard of it. To the Google machine! I've done part of Chinamans but I was alone and that one part with the right turn down the hill felt way too sketch alone so I'd be happy to go back
I've never ran it either. I think it consists of several dirt roads and a handful of water crossings. A number of years ago April Phools was a big event and there would be a ton of people who would attend (Back when WF was a little more active). You'd have buggies doing Carnage, most running Chinamans, and even a big group doing 4 mile.

If I haven't been on Four Mile, I've done things around it. It's all dirt roads.

Ah okay. Meh. The friends I know that wheel live in Castle Rock so... I've been to rampart like 25x lol. Enough dirt roads to not want to go out of my way for them again unless I'm camping
We camped after jeeptober (basically the same event closing out the year), it was fun but crazy windy. I may try to camp a night or two for april phoolz (unless I can convince my wife to join).

I would probably be down if it isn't one if it's actually spring-like this April!

That was a horrible time 😅 all day and all night, that wind was relentless
Where was it?

Sounds sort of like the Ice Breaker weekend we use to have up here in the PNW years ago. 1 April all the roads open back up to wheeled traffic here in WA so the 1st weekend following 1 April everyone would head to the woods. Depending on the winter we had there could still be 10' or more snow on the ground. Lots and lots of broken parts come Monday.

Hope you all have a great time.

IIRC it was somewhere off Trail #305. I had set my tent up earlier that morning in a different spot and the wind ripped out all my stakes. The only thing holding my tent down and in place was a savvy gas tank skid that I had brought for someone.I bet it was 30-40mph winds. I moved further down the trail at the end of the day and we all did a wagon type circle with our jeeps to block the wind. I remember waking up at some point in the middle of the night and the wind was still blowing hard and my tent was folded over, albeit, still staked.

I've been keeping my eyes open for a topper for my pickup, it'd be much nicer and more comfortable to build a platform in the bed and have rigid side walls!

What better way to make friends than working on a Jeep? Haha. I'd really like to get out on some trails with you and some of the CO guys this year now that I'm more confident in my own skills. I should start paying attention to that local thread do you guys talk about going out in there?
Team Coco is cool AF (shh, dont tell anyone).
