Your go to beer or liquor

Never met a beer I didn’t like but my go to ones are
1) Stella Artois
2) Modelo negra
3) Modela
4) Corona
5) Mich Ultra

back 35 years ago my favorite was Lowenbrau that is why I think I like Stella now.

I want to start drinking Bourbon but I am cheap and don’t know what to try, I heard Benchmark 8 or Evan Williams is good, let me know what you think.

I remember Lowenbrau from my high school days. A very long time ago.

We raced boats back in the day and one of my dads friend/competitor was sponsored by them and he would get me all I wanted as dad didn’t drink. Where my Grandfather was cheap like me and he drank Black Label light.

This probably doesn't constitute a 'saavy' sticker, but it's definitely a good looking one...

There are plenty of good bourbons for under $40 IMO. My buddies are Evan or Crown drinkers but it’s not my choice after having others. I’d say just go out and buy 3-4 bottles of different bourbons $20-$40 range and just give them a try. I like trying new stuff so getting a new bottle is a fun weekend.

I want one that is just a good sipping one maybe on ice, I guess I just got to start trying some to see. I use to love absolute and cranberry when I wasn’t drinking beer, or a shot of Wild Turkey with Coors light, but I was single back then.

I enjoy mine with one large ice ball. Everyone’s taste is different but I’d say go with some low proofs at first for easy sippin. Like 80-90 proof.
My last purchase was Russell’s Reserve 10 year. I’ll definitely buy it again soon.

Coors Banquet... formerly known as Coors Original.
I'll have some Scotch or Bourbon a few times a year.
I have rediscovered Coors Banquet. First had Coors Banquet back in the late 1970's to early 80's, before it made it legally across the Mississippi River. Friends would drive to St.Louis for a few cases and haul them back.... Think "Smokey and the Bandit" on a much smaller scale...Back then the beer of choice was PBR...When Coors finally made it to Ohio, I tried it, but it did not taste the same as I remembered. It just did not have that skunky taste from being transported 400 miles in the trunk of a car....

I like to go what some will say is cheap for mixing. I started drinking Bourbon and water because my best friend's Father did. Echo Springs is the mixer I still use.
For sipping, I drink Willett Pot Still Reserve, and not because of the name. And it is not a break the bank price either.

Bringing this thread back--Weller 107. Was told it was a real good Bourbon for $50-60. Researching it, and I am seeing prices from $150 up to $300. Whats up?
Weller 107 was readily available for $30 - 750ml bottle until mid 2018 here (Oregon). It was my go to drink until the price went up to $60, and then it became impossible to find too. It was considered poor man's PVW. IMHO, it isn't worth a penny past $60.

I used to find it regularly for 24-27$ - it was a fantastic pour for that price. I'd agree though, for the price I'd just get a bottle of stranahans blue label for a good quality <$40 whiskey.

It was 50 and accessible on a weekly basis if you were at the store at opening in Cincinnati last year, haven’t seen a single bottle of it up here.

For non-Buffalo Trace stuff that you can find on the shelf, I like OF 1910, 4roses small batch select in the 40-60 range. For wheaters, makers cask is a easy to find substitute
