What did you do to your TJ today?

Listed my wheels/tires locally for $900 (5). Got a lot of interest, but now the wheels I want are out of stock for a couple of weeks. I planned on swapping and selling by Friday. :(
p.s. New soft top is supposed to be delivered by Wednesday. If it works out, I'll sell my Bestop tinted windows that still look like new.

Wish I was near you what set-up are you hoping to switch to?

My tires are only 31s Grabberx3 set off 5 with wheels. Almost new cause I arbitrarily jumped to 32s thinking I could sell all 5. Nope. Even dropped em to 750$ for all 5. Figured someone stock would buy instantly. That was an expensive miscalculation. Prob won’t sell til tax time again and cheaper. :(

I got 6 responses in 2 days so far. Just like selling anything else, someone showing up with cash is a different story. I sold my 31" MTR/K tires and stock Rubi wheels in 2 days for $350. Everyone that has emailed me, has 33s and is looking to jump to 35s. I looked at my receipt and I paid over $1,800 for the wheels and tires . They only have about 10,000 miles on them. My Jeep was sold for 2 years and it sat in a garage and was only driven 1200 miles. That kept the mileage down. :)

UPDATE on the installation and testing of the Viper coil pack and RIPP spark plug wires.

After installation I noticed a better idle attributed to cleaning and gapping plugs to .035, increase in gas mileage of 1 mpg attributed to clean and gapping of plugs, and slight seat of the pants increase in performance attributed to trying to justify the money spent.

After testing for almost 6 months I found no measurable differences in performance or gas mileage so I removed the coil and plug wires, checked the plug gap and went back to the factory coil rail. There has been no decrease in performance or gas mileage since returning to the stock ignition.

The only benefit I could find might be when troubleshooting cylinder misfires.

I hear a lot of people love those STT coopers, I cant wait to see your take on them they are deff on the short list for replacements for me.
I was originally going to keep my stock Rubi 16" wheels and get the Cooper tires. The metric size 35s were $75 more each, so I bought 15" wheels and my old favorite MTZ tires. My tires still have lots of tread and are evenly worn, so I figured it's time for a change while I can get money for them.

I took the dash apart (which was a mistake) to run a rocker switch for my new fog lights and along with the disaster of the PO wiring nonsense, I found this looks factory was this for the factory nav???

Also anyone have suggestions for a rocker switch that goes into the blanks by the lighter ?

i was not aware of a factory NAV option, but I think a harness goes there for the optional rearview mirror with compass and auto-dimming. I'd like to have one myself, but mine doesn't have the harness so I'd have to make my own.

Not jeep related but...remember back in the day when mcdonalds offered soft drinks in giant size? They must have been half a gallon lol..I had a nice mustang and managed to dump the entire thing on the passenger side floor/seat/door panel etc. I was so pissed I mopped it up the best I could and sold it lol

I was driving an E24 BMW 6 series, which if you're familiar at all with pre-2000 BMW's, you know they didn't have cupholders. I went through the drive-through of my favorite regional tex-mex fast food chain and my gf got their largest vessel of Dr. Pepper, which would have been close to what it takes to fill a Dana 30. Unbeknownst to me, she was busy confirming the order and set her drink on the floor...I made it about 2 car lengths from the pickup window before all of the Dr. Pepper was sloshing around in the passenger footwell. It was after dark, we were in college with no garage, so there wasn't anything I could do but pull the carpet back and pull one of the rubber floor plugs to let it drain out until the sun came up the next day and I could pull the seat, shampoo the carpet and wipe down the pan.

That is for the

That connector is for the rear view mirror with Temperature and compass.

some have pieced together their own hand throttle set up with bike parts but you can buy an off-the-shelf kit as well: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00CI42U3G/?tag=wranglerorg-20

I made this one.

The bike lever is long so it is easy to move. My fingers still got sore at Moab.

If you have a stick, I'd say it's required. I set the RPM and kept my foot off the clutch and gas most of the time.

The only issue I had was pulling the Jeep out of gear once when I tried to mess with it climbing. So I learned to goose the gas a little with my foot when needed.

I killed the Jeep once in 5 days and it was because I forgot to use it on day two.

My top sealant didn't work at all after the 2" of rain. With the recent Bestop fitment issues and inflated price, I had to order a low budget ($269) soft top. Went with the Sierra Offroad TRILOGY Acoustic Vinyl. Top is a 45oz heavy weight two ply composite. TRILOGY Acoustic Vinyl was shown to significantly reduce interior noise.

p.s. We shall see soon enough. 3 year warranty and no LOGO. :)
Didn't know about fitment issues... my top does bow down in the middle and pools rainwater. I don't think my old one (sierra offroad) really did that, so could just be bad fitment maybe

Normally I wouldn’t wheel on a spare, but I wasn’t happy with how yesterday ended so I went back to trail 15 today for a little redemption.

I found what I believe was the culprit yesterday, and after few minutes with a folding handsaw he was out of there. Had to give it a pretty good bump but I made it through this time with no damage and no winching!

Was feeling good after that so I decided to give little mule(45) and little school bus(38) a try and was pretty stoked to make it through those. All 3 are rated double black diamond.

I was going to head over to Cadillac Hill to give it a try but heard a rattling underneath on the gravel road and noticed I had lost a bolt for the upper link of my driver side radius arm so I called it and limped back to camp.

I’m headed straight to Cadillac Hill next time I come up here, but I’m overall pleased with the today’s results.
