Didn't know where to put this so created my own thread lol
So my girls ,myself and Bruiser took a small road trip south East of my city (80 miles) to an old gold and silver mining settlement...last operated about 110 years ago. Some great walks into the bush and of course in the cliffs through tunnels. Its situated on a junction of 2 rivers and a couple of canyons.

Awesome trip and photos! So beautiful. Some of the pics remind me of an Indiana Jones flick. Great day with your girls! Thanks for sharing!

Wow, thanks for sharing these amazing photos. I love seeing pictures like this of different places in the world. One of these days New Zealand is a place I would love to visit and explore.

It’s amazing how much beauty there is out their in nature.

yeah this a great part of the world for sure...its a shame that there are people here that don't venture out of the city to see this sort of stuff.....and I have another 3-4 months of great weather to enjoy too hehe ;)

I can't imagine living someplace like that and not wanting to explore it... Especially since you're on an island, so it's not like exploring the United States, where it would probably take you forever based on how large the land mass is.

Exactly...!! no matter where you live in NZ there are places to explore or road trip...most are within a 4 hours drive. To be honest no matter where I lived I'd always want to explore.

Wish the Midwest looked like that. Nothing here beside flat land. At this rate I should withdraw for the ride of the month contest until further non flat beautiful pictures with Tj, lmao.

I'm sure there are more trails than I have out here though.

After watching the show Broadchurch, it really made me want to go to England and explore the Jurassic Coast with all those cool towns like Dorset, etc.

That's my old stomping ground...I was born and rated in the county next to Dorset. The whole of the southwest of England has a rugged beauty about it. I do miss it.

Yeah, I've seen a lot of photos and I really like what I see. It's definitely a very scenic place for sure.
