this is a 1" solid bar the tabs are 1/2", those cut tubes will get welded 50/50 through the channels to spread load. this would slide close enough to run a mower tractor up or out to about an 88" wheel center.
just not sure those tabs anchored into a 3x3x3/16" square tube would hold up to 3k a side without that 3/16" givin some. i feel i might be best if i capped the tube with a nice angle and it anchored to the tube and the tabs anchored to it would be betterer. at the cost of some extra dead weight for the stiffeners.
a shot of that coupler too. looks like i did ok that is sitting about level trailer and i'd have to lift that an inch to hook it up. still needs gussets. 1 spot for a truck 2" lower and several up for taller rigs.
