I have some high praise for the Duroflex Control Arm, TJ/LJ Double Adjustable Aluminum Short Arms made by MetalCloak. I recently installed them into my jeep due to needing to adjust some driveline and wheelbase measurements. I had concerns about my front driveline bottoming out w/ a combination of the stock driveshaft, 3 inches of lift, and a HP Dana 30 in the front. Also I needed to make a slight adjustment to the pinion angle in the rear. This is the main reason I bought the arms.

But the ride quality these arms have given me is too incredible not to talk about. I am absolutely blown away by how little shock gets put into the cabin from bumps, potholes or ruts now. Some potholes that used to shake my teeth; I don't even feel anymore. The jeep just absorbs it as if I drove over a tiny twig. And I know my factory arm bushings were in good condition because I replaced them all due to being blown a couple years back. The flex is also a ridiculous upgrade. Such an upgrade in-fact, that I can no longer jack my jeep from the pumpkin; the flex is just that crazy.

Pictures and videos to follow, as well as a pre and post tests with my seismograph. I truly can't recommend these arms enough.

Well done.

(Maybe belongs more in off-topic given what you are trying to do though :))

Control arms (at least as far as short arms go) have nothing to do with ride quality.

FWIW, I have no experience with Metalcloak arms so I can't comment on this post beyond what I said above (which I would have said even if they were Currie control arms).

You're about to face an onslaught of shenanigans though. Just ignore it and make sure your skin is thick (y)

Did you read through that post entirely? :) You missed the "seismograph" at the end, I think.

I had no idea we were reading off of the Richter scale in that famous shaker table video!

Considering the tremor and upheaval those bushings created in the industry, I guess we should not be surprised :)

I'm being dead serious people. I've driven less than 100 miles with them, but the ride quality is night and day. My stock arms would allow my jeep to get thrown all around the road when hitting the smallest of bumps. With these things my jeep drives straight as an arrow. Again, this in comparison to stock arms, whose length we're probably too short in the front to begin with. So geometry itself definitely contributes to some of the improvements. Do others have personal experiences that were negative using these arms? If so please explain, there must be some reason so many people thought I was being sarcastic?

Upgrading my zone 3 inch shocks (that we're 10 years old and blown) to the Ranchos RS5000x's didn't give me nearly as much improvement as these control arms did. Alot of people forget that the control arms are just as important to the ride characteristics of your suspension as the shocks and springs. Once again i'm being completely serious. Here's some attachments of the arms on my vehicle.

Only Savvy suspension are worthy praise here. 😎

You changed shocks and made several adjustments to the axle positioning and who knows what else. And you are attributing any perceived improvements solely to the control arms. Correct?

Whether you know it or not on any level, you are diving head first into almost every misconception surrounding suspension and ride quality.

Don't be simpleton, only Savvy suspension are worthy praise here. 😎

Only a portion of my suspension is from Savvy. And none of the bits and pieces that truly contribute to the really good ride quality are from them.
