2.5" Suspension lift and new 33" KO2s did the trick!

QQ, I'm sure it is elsewhere in these forums, BUT it has a really hard time shifting into 4 high, then won't go into 4 low, it just pops right out. I know it has something to do with the linkage, but what? And it did the before the lift as well.

The lift should have included a drop bracket for the transfer case linkage or you could change to a cable shifter which is the preferred way to go.

The fit & finish of your rig is amazing! 33s are perfect imo.

How do you like your under-seat storage box?

I apologize for rudely pointing out something I hate, but it's bs they put the wheel weights on the outside (where they are seen and can get knocked off). I had Discount Tire move the weights to the inside when they did that bs on my old dually.

Thanks, a cable shifter, from what I've read/seen is the way to go. I'm pretty confident I could install it myself, but still a little nervous dealing with any of the transmission pieces. It's my daily driver and can't risk making it undriveable. lol

Thanks for the kind word! As for the storage box, I never use it, but it's nice to know its there. lol As for the weights, yes I was a little surprised to see them there. Apparently with steelies they don't like to use the stick on ones, I don't mind having them on there BUT could they at least be black to match? I might plasti-dip them so at least they disappear a little.

You can run it with the TC in 2hi without a shifter.

If you get the Savvy/Novak style and know how to turn a wrench, I’d do it yourself because there’s no sense in paying someone to fuck it up for you. (Exception: unless u have a trusted shop that will do it right at a reasonable cost).

Just give yourself the full day so you aren’t rushing. I believe I had the transmission lowered when installing it but not when dialing it in more later. That extra clearance was super helpful on the 241 cable.

I don’t recall the wrench size for the jam nut (might be 15/16”), but what helped me was buying an extra wrench then cutting it in two pieces to make a stubby (and I ground down the widest points of the open end). This gained me the ability to turn the wrench more without hitting things and getting stuck (when alternating sides for tightening the jam nuts).

Adjust the linkage underneath. Takes 5 minutes or so.
