What did you do to your TJ today?

Ok here is the Skinny, Friday I get a text from a friend with 2 Rubicons, he knows I have been looking for one, and the text says, are you still wanting a Rubicon??
As fast as I can text, I reply YES!!!!!!

He named a price for one of his, I said of course!!!! Let me sell mine first!

Thinking it would take a week or so to sell, I parked it out front. First person that stopped wanted it, and I was like, I have heard this before.

I get a call from work and have to go into Chattanooga. While at work my wife calls and says, the gentleman was there with his wife wanting to test drive it again. I say sure!!! Get a call back saying they just paid her for it and were leaving with it :oops: :oops: :oops:

So now I am Jeepless till next Saturday when I can go pick up my Rubicon!!!!!!!!!

Happy as can be!!!!!

This all happened Friday afternoon to Saturday afternoon!!!

Well I decided for the back Torsen locker to go with a Eaton since they don't make a Spartan for the Dana 35. I think I am going to like em ! I like they are ready to go , nothing to do , like the anti rock , nothing to disconnect . Now I have to decide if I want to change the 4.10 's to 4.56 ????

I don't wrench a lot myself anymore - did a bit as a kid, but now leave more and more to the professionals. That said, today was a bit of a good laugh. I had a misfire code on cylinder 3, so I brought it into a friends shop. Hopefully we got the bottom of the code. One dead coil, a leaking vacume hose - and 6 loose spark plugs. Guess the prior owner changed the plugs themselves. While I have had the LJ for 6 months, I have less than 2k miles on it personally. It coded during the last trip.

What I lack in automotive skills, I tend to make up in the woodshop. My Gray Mouser based rear platform is coming around nicely.

Early morning start on the Jeep today. Dropped off my daughter at school and came home to start getting the rusted out passenger side body mounts cut out and weld in the new stuff. Wondering if I have the time to throw in the body lift or not. I have to work this evening so I guess I’ll play it by ear. I know there are a few modifications that come along with the body lift like fan shroud relocation and transfer case bracket adjustment and fuel filler neck length. I guess I’ll figure it out like anything else lol
