I.Y.K.,Y.K.

Was this thing on the donor end of a 42rle swap?

If you are asking did I save every single piece and part we removed after swapping a 42RLE into a TJ, then the answer is yes I did. Same as I did with this one. Every single piece is in a single place for a future swap into a rig with a manual.

Nice work. What PCM did you use to complete it being an 04? One from a 2004 non unlimited manual?

Could be swapping a 05-06 drivetrain into a 04 TJU , that would be one way to get around all the 05/06 issue crap.
Hard work but straight forward compared to chasing your ass on the later model problems.

I wouldn't even consider that with all the parts sitting here in a pile from an 03-04 TJ manual.

Ah, so it's a link in a continuous auto-manual chain. I hadn't really thought about doing it that way, always pictured two rigs side by side getting swapped in parallel.

No, that is the VIN sticker in the jamb of an 04 TJ Unlimited that we just swapped a manual transmission into. I had an epiphany awhile back when it dawned on me that there are a lot of 03-04 TJ's with manuals so the drivetrain harness not only existed, it would be a direct swap for the auto harness along with every other piece needed to do the swap. I've got a gent who really wants a daily driver built to go any where rig that will never go anywhere so this was at the top of his list of priorities. I said I could do it, so I did.

My first thought on the swap was that it might be the manual from Chris's rig.

Is this decal location normal?
