What did you do to your TJ today?

Well I have this piece of the rear disc ordered and rotors , cal. and shoes on backorder. Just ordered new backing plates after looking at what the used ones look like , just didn't think I could get used ones to look good enough to go on my nice TJ. It's just 250.00 .

Exercised some mad fakebook market skills on behalf of the Jeep and did a little happy dance today when these arrived.

They are not "Savvy", they are double adjustable, double Johny Joint, Rokmen. And yes, they will be soaking in a bucket of parts cleaner while I try to figure out how to take them a part for deep cleaning and inspection. Tips and tricks suggestions are welcome

This one is a Savvy. I hadn't planned on buying skids yet, but for the price, I couldn't just walk away, and they threw the tank in for free. Not that I needed the tank, I just don't think they wanted to take the time to pull it out.

Thanksgiving weekend looks to be like a new to me parts installation weekend. :-D Um the tanks skid should be easy enough, but I have never dealt with control arms before. All my previous Jeeps used leaf springs. So, I really would appreciate tips, tricks and links to threads on the best ways to clean these up and install properly.

Thanksgiving weekend looks to be like a new to me parts installation weekend. :-D Um the tanks skid should be easy enough, but I have never dealt with control arms before. All my previous Jeeps used flat springs. So, I really would appreciate tips, tricks and links to threads on the best ways to clean these up and install properly.

I have the JJ tools if you want to borrow them

Installed Wrangler Fix PCM in the LJ. Finally got it running and driving with the second coil rail from Rock Auto. Don't buy the Delphi rail, get the NGK.

The plug on the end for the cam position sensor input on the Delphi isn't molded very well and the connector from the harness doesn't go on all the way — unless you feel like mongo-ing it together and ruining the seal on the connector. The plug and connector at least engaged enough for me to get the Jeep running again to see if the coil rail was the fix I needed for the #6 misfire. Did new plugs as well seeing as I was elbow deep in the engine bay and pulling plugs to look for issues anyway (XP985's per Jerry's recommendation in numerous posts).

Not sure if the coil rail died first and then the PCM, or the other way around. But what started as a misfire under acceleration turned into madness real quick with all O2 heaters throwing codes, plus the misfire.

Now though, this might be the best this vehicle has ever run.

Pulled the tub/body off...
Needed to adjust the transfer case shifter linkage, thought this would be easier than dropping the skid plate... Yes, no..?

Naw, not really..🤪🤪
I've finally started on my HEMI swap after the pandemic, being laid off for 12 weeks, my building being put on hold from material shortages then my wife getting covid and being hospitalized for 3 months last fall things have finally got back to somewhat normal. Whatever that is...
I'll try to post updates as I get things done. I will say in advance that I'm not a very good documenter.
