What did you do to your TJ today?

Nice...
You've got the 6.4L big boy HEMI..
Can't compete with that, mines just the 5.7L..
What headers are those and do they have the proper turn down for use in the TJ.?

Started out almost identical to yours. ‘06 5.7, bored and stroked. It actually measures out to 398ci, but calling it a 398 is not nearly as cool…

🙂

IIRC, the headers are JBA’s. They have a turn down that works for the TJ, but it was still quite challenging getting the exhaust to clear everything. The exhaust was by far the biggest challenge of the swap.

This might be a dumb question. But is it possible to throw that 3.0l Whipple supercharger on top of those in a TJ or LJ?

Not sure about a whipple, but a twin-screw works very well.

These came in today , calipers will be here Wed. and I don't know when I will get the rotors and pads. The backing plates are nice , glad I didn't get the used ones even though they would have been a lot cheaper , I don't think after all the work it would take to get them to look this good would have been worth it.
Glad I went the way I did. Wonder why they only sent 2 bolts for each of them?

Have you already done your swap??
If so, what did you do for exhaust if you don't mind, that does seem to be be the one very grey area. I haven't bought anything for my exhaust yet. Was planning on using the Grand Cherokee manifolds that I already have mainly because the only headers I had found couple of years ago were well north of $800 and just couldn't that amount for the 10hp gain...
Also, what radiator are you using?
Thanks in advance for your input..

The bolts just keep the two pieces together. You won't be using them.

Oh Really , I didn't know that , I was pulling some backer plates off a Liberty and they are one piece , I knew I would have to re-drill them a bit to get them to fit and that turned me off on them a bit.
Also I thought they would look to be in better shape . I sure didn't notice in any of the videos using the Grand Cherokee backers it being two piece as they mounted them . Guess I will re-visit them ! Thanks for the heads up and I guess I will need different axle studs for the disc as I bet the drum ones will not work.

I received my BMB rear disc conversion and it's two pieces. Consisting of a tin plate carrying the e-brake shoes and behind that is the nod iron carrier for the caliper to mount to. 4 bolts loosely holding the two together. Hardware package has t bolts for attaching to the axle . And yes, they are longer than for drums because of the thickness of the caliper carrier.

I based my post on the pic you posted of what showed up. Zooming in it appears those are 2 piece.

They are , I didn't know that . Glad I went with the ones made for my application no mods needed. I thought the dust shield was riveted to it but I guess not. Thanks for the help guys . Guess I need to source those bolts while I wait for the rest to come in.

Thanks Boog. Post #40 to be exact.

@Daubie3, If you want the excruciating detail, check out my original build thread over on Jeep Forum.

Thanks to both of you guys.
I will definitely be checking those out.
My build/swap will be quite a bit different than yours. Most all my wheeling days are long past, so my idea is to try to theme mine as close to what it would have been if Jeep would have offered the HEMI as an option and be somewhat stealthy with it.
Thanks again..

I did get the 4.0 and 46rle put on a skid and moved to one of my mini barns today to be inside out of my way till I list it for sale.
