Continuing to work through the TJ I bought last month, I'm up to the suspension now. Stock shocks/springs/steering stabilizer are all toast. Looking for verification of the parts I have picked out, going crosseyed from reading all day.

Rancho 5000x shocks, 0-2" lift
Rancho steering stabilizer
OME 2933 springs up front
OME 2942 springs in the rear

Goal is between 2-2.5" of lift, has 31" tires currently, no plans to change for a while. Jeep has roughly 400 pounds of added weight currently (bumpers, roof rack, RTT, awning), winch will add even more. Worth it to get a track bar relocation bracket, or let it be until I grab adjustable bars?

Get the springs, install them, then measure and buy the shocks. Yes, it may mean some rework if you have to drive the Jeep, but you’ll be happier in the end. I did the 0-2 inch lift shocks for a while and they aren’t really good at either end of the spectrum. Too long for 0 lift and too short for 2” lift.

Makes sense, stock shocks are blown anyway, not like I'm going to mess them up. If it comes out more than 2, I can get the 2-3" lift Ranchos

I'd go with these instead: https://savvyoffroad.com/product/ce-9133s/ Only $100 more expensive, and you won't have buyers remorse later.

Okay, solid copy on that. My biggest fear going above 2" is the need for a SYE. Feels like an easy way to turn a $750 shock/spring lift into $2k after SYE, DC, rear control arms, etc. Just driving forest trails and stuff for now, but I plan to hit Moab this summer (only a couple hours from me). I'll have all supporting stuff done before then but I'd like to correct the shocks/springs now and get the other stuff after Christmas.

You could also go with the @TheBoogieman approved Zone 4.25 hybrid lift and not run the body lift or MML.

I can understand that. if you want to be less than 2" total lift then disregard my suggestion, I thought you were shooting for 2.5" and had mentioned your Jeep had some heavy upgrades.

Are they $200 better? Shipping is like $137 through CrapEx, OMEs are free shipping.

It really depends on what you're looking for in a spring. I like the long uncompressed length of the Savvy and Currie springs. They stay seated in the spring perches even when the axle is completely drooped out. If that isnt something you care about then no, the difference in price isn't worth it.

There are lots of Jeeps running Superlift, and Rough Country on the trails also. Then later on we get to help them figure out why their Jeeps wander all over the road and have death wobble...

I'm not going to argue, point is, I really don't care what lift someone runs.

Just get out and have fun and learn to enjoy life!!!!

It's all fun and games until your day of fun is ruined by a trail plug running crappy equipment experiences a failure and blocks the trail for hours while they try and figure out how to get their piece of shit out of the way. Shitty equipment belongs at the mall or the car show, not out on the trail.
