On this episode of how much rust is too much rust

Surely that thing had to spend some time in the northeast or upper Midwest. Most of the Colorado frames I've seen were in pretty good shape.

Wrong! Only eastern Canadian vehicles end up looking like this. Western Canadian vehicles have no such problems.

I am aware of this. Sorry if I wasn't more specific on this. Based on the frame design. Any vehicle like the TJ for instance that retains moisture in the frame will rust consistantly year after year. Being winter driving in wet slushy conditions. I can't imagine you arguing that point.

The upper defrost dash bezel, two mucket seals, and the plastic trim pieces on the sides of the window frame used to help seal the doors.

Note that they were all plastic pieces that couldn't rustšŸ˜‚.

Iā€™m convinced that the ā€œbestā€œ TJ would be assembled from two at this point. One from the desert southwest for all the steel and aluminum parts and one from the north east for the rubber and plastic. The sun kills the soft parts and the salt kills the steel ones.

Maybe a nice garage kept one from Kentucky or Tennessee would fit the bill too.

you see

the opened a LKQ in Bennett, last i checked they had three TJs

Colorado?

Edit: I just checked and sure as hell they did! šŸ‘ it's weird though, they don't have the same search function as the others that I can tell.

I wonder if it was an LKQ acquisition, hence the different system.

There is an LKQ near me in Nashville. Itā€™s where I picked up my 14 bolt. Both of themā€¦šŸ™‚

That frame is too dangerous to drive....
The only thing holding that frame together is RUST HOLDING HANDS......
I wonder how much rust the tub has.....

You can see where the skid was held on by a ratchet strapšŸ˜
