You....
How do you think I feel about mine?
Of course I was on a $2000 budget..
Oh no, it was "WAY WAY" over $2000... but I had to give her a number so I could start this project, then blamed it on inflation...!!!

That's something I've been keeping an eye on on mine. Obviously don't have the final components yet, but the parts I have ordered will keep it in the same area. The highest IAT's I've gotten so far have been around 110-115° sitting at a light. Granted, the highest OAT has only been 63°, so I'm sure IAT will increase as the OAT increases. I am fully prepared to fab a heatsheild around the engine side of the filter if necessary. My original plan was to use the factory air box and fab a new lid for the intake hose, but the height and the core support rod was going to make that somewhat impossible. I think one thing that might be in my favor is using the factory exhaust manifolds and I also bought new factory heat sheilds and using them. The biggest reason the factory uses them is to reduce under hood temps and help keep heat in the exhaust.. Those actually might be able to be used with your guys headers if heat becomes an issue. I know you (Nashville) already have yours all dialed in now.
Anyway, just my 1cent worth..
Not the final intake parts, but will remain in this location..
I'm going to move it as far forward as possible to try and get it in front of the fan blast and get cooler air.

Fittings came in late in the day so they didn’t have a ton of time to work with it. Loaded up the tune which took about 45 minutes. Turned it over a few times and compression and everything sounds great. We’ll have to figure out tomorrow a security issue with the chip key. It wants to cut power and show the little flashing key after about 2 seconds. But looks like tomorrow is the day we get it running.

Did your Jeep have SKIM? Is the plastic head on your key grey?
Did Hotwire program your HEMI ECM?
Mine has SKIM and haven't had any problems.. I was a little worried about that.
They did. I think since mine is an 05 that caused the issue? Not certain but either way they said it wasn’t a big deal.
I'm sure it won't be.
Mine is also an 05, and I did have some concern about it, but Chris at Hotwire said it wouldn't be any problem..
Bet you can't wait to hear it and see it move under it's own power..
You have no idea! But what’s one more day after 4 months or so of not having it.
I do know, after waiting 3 years after starting my swap...
Definitely well worth the wait...
Yeah I guess you do!

Pretty sure they were saying it was a SKIM issue. It is grey.
I won't tell you how long it's been since I drove my Jeep.... I know you are chomping at the bit to have that thing purring.
You are having the smile per mile right now. And I'll bet it's a huge one too.
FREAKIN SKIM!!! So they’ve been back and forth with Hotwire this morning trying to figure out what’s going on with it and unfortunately it isn’t something that can be done over email. So they’ll have to pull the computer and send it back to them. Hopefully middle of next week we’ll be back in the same spot we’re in now and starting it up.
I was hoping mine would be more of a PURR.... but it's more like an angry Cat out of Hell.... Hmmmmm
I LOVE it, for now anyway...
Might De-Noise (did I make up a word?) it down the road..
I've got about 250 miles on it right now. So that's about $33.00 a mile..
That's cheap when you break it down like that, and will only go down from there as I drive it..
Again, more math for the wife..
