Car pics too cool not to share

Yes the idea of someone hitting you while you're out for a Sunday drive would scare me more than anything. Or having it be stolen.

I'm rather sentimentally attached to most of my vehicles , like my '65 Chrysler, and the reason above is the primary reason it's rarely driven. Parts for those cars are hard to get, and with the tail light lenses selling in the $1,000 range, it wouldn't take much to total her out. All it would take is one dumb-fuck looking at their phone and a rather small hit, and that car would be taken out. :( That's why I stick to the back roads with any vehicle I care about.

IMO it doesn't matter where. The PNW is bad too. And everyone here uses a smartphone.

As noted in another thread here, drivers have gotten WAY worse post-plandemic. Of the 3 times I was hit CY 2022, one *may* have been a smartphone, one definitely was not, the last had to have been as nobody's THAT stupid. Either that, or the woman had her head shoved up her ass and forgot to open her mouth to see out! But all 3 wouldn't have happened if the drivers had simply been paying attention.

I forgot I took this pic a few days ago. I'm not a big fan of them, but it’s probably a fun toy.

You don't like CJ5's?

Yeah, they're too small for me. I think I'd take one over a side-by-side, but I put CJ5/6 in that category. I like a Jeep to be CJ7-LJ. TJ/LJ are my preferred Jeeps, but that probably goes without saying, being I'm here.

I'll post some pictures of my ex wife's CJ5. I wheeling it after my TJ was sidelined for the engine.
I had a 65 CJ5 before I bought my TJ and wheeled it pretty hard.
Even rolled it once at Moon Rocks. It's a area in the Naches area.
Drove it home with a strap holding the hood closed.

My grandpaw had one of these back when it was new ('78 model), before my time. I have a few pics of it around here somewhere that I'll try to find. He rolled it after finding a patch of black ice, but it was fixed and put back on the road. I want to say his had side pipes. Because of his roll-over, he was always adamant about me not having a Jeep. Now he's gone and I have a TJ that he'd be worried about.

I love the classic style of them along with flatties but like you said they lack leg room.

Here's the episode of Pinks from '09. I'm pretty sure I see myself in the crowd. ;) Glen drives a '69 Camaro, and his son used to drive that car to school now and then (his son and I are of similar age). I remember there was a Honda hatchback at Pinks that day giving the V8 cars hell. I'll have to watch this episode later for the memories.

I used to love watching that show. Haven't seen an episode in a very long time...

Same here. Honestly, I haven't thought about it since that time frame. For whatever reason, when I thought 572 I remembered Glen running his at ZMAX. It was a big all day event with sunshine, racing, food and plenty of beer. It would take me a week to recover from that day now.

Well, we can all agree that it's a gorgeous ride. It's so nice that I'd be afraid to drive the thing. Not sure that I would ever want something that's been elevated to that status.

This is how most of my vehicles start out...

Watch this a-hole doing at least 60-80mph in Brooklyn this past Sunday, killed 2 people and he survived. go to about the 45 second mark

Nice. Compared to my ‘5, that one has one crazy long wheelbase!
