I have a dog, I leave her home

Part of this falls on parenting. I once watched a dog bite a small child in the face. The parents weren't watching their toddler and the dog had enough of the kid and responded. The parents were ofcourse upset at the dog but at the end of the day If they had been doing their jobs as parents it could have been avoided.

This is a different scenario than an aggressive dog that snaps suddenly and is unpredictable

Ok,but the dog should have whined and cried and then run away.regardless of the fact the parents let their kid in a strange dogs face, which is never smart

I see both sides and it wasn't my kid or dog so that might change my perspective some.

Unfortunately some breeds are more easily scared than others. For instance, German Shepherds, a lot of their "aggressiveness" is due to getting scared easily, they panic and react the way dogs know how to react.

If a dog is cornered and you are up in it's face, you're asking to be bit.

Damn, I just dropped off my wife's 2 dogs (shi tzus) at the vet, in my daughter's car (red Mini Cooper convertible). Accidently Jeep waved a couple dudes on the way to the vet.
No way anyone in this town believes I'm straight anymore.

That's something you learn real fast in showing dogs, you don't put your face near theirs or get down to their level.

This is exactly what happened to me. My friend had a (Australian Shepherd?) dog that was always a bit crazy, it had a very large ladder drop on it's head when it was younger and it was never the same again. That being said the dog acted totally normal until it randomly decided it wanted to snap. It would escape from the house and one time I tried to help get him back in and he bite my fingers. We used to do this thing were I would put my nose up to his nose and he would lick my face, gross I know but I was 16 and it was just something we did. We saw each other all the time. On about the 50th time doing it he snapped and bit my face between my nose and lip. The cut went so deep you could almost see my front teeth on the other side. luckily it was just a few stitches and now there isn't even a scar. Besides my mustache would have covered it up anyways if it did scar bad. The dog bit another person in the face until finally they sent him away to their dad's place to live out the last few years. Fast forward 10 years later I am no longer a dog person and I have two small cats....

Different breeds are more likely to have certain traits.but a good owner will work to address them.

I guess i just live in Different country than some of you. I've shot peoples precious dogs for chasing livestock, and i'll do it again if needed.they were devastated but you know what? Its their fault for being bad pet owners and making excuses for bad behavior.

Biting people(and especially children!) is above and beyond killing a sheep or biting a calf. I have zero sympathy for that shit.
Unless the dog is doing a job it was trained for(protection) at the express command of its owner.

Should I be worried?

Not worried, but it might be time for a rainbow soft top.

My ex came with a Shih Tzu and then her dad got her another one so we had two. Then when I was going in for foot surgery she got me one so I'd have a companion. I was never a fan of little dogs but I'll admit they are a good breed if you want a low maintenance dog.
Mine has the typical little man syndrome where he try's to intimidate all the bigger dogs.

Seriously, they are pretty nice lap warmers, just not useful for any dog stuff like, fetch, eat the chips I dropped on the floor, look intimidating, come when your called...

I had Huskys as a kid. But mine were working dogs and didn't come inside.

Nice. I can't say ours are low maintenance. The male has to be sedated if you wantbto trim his face hair. Mostly because the wife won't allow ME to cut his hair. That's actually what they were dropped off for this morning.
I just don't understand 2 for you...they were actually bred as foot warmers.

Huskies are another funny breed. Willing to work but they're gonna TALK to you about it!
This old girl left us 2 years ago. She was a damn good dog.

Huskies seem to be good dogs but a friend had one and could not keep it contained. That dog would break rope, chains etx and be running around town. Not a bit of aggressiveness in it just needed to run. Probably not a good choice for a city dog. Plus the hair good lord that thing would shed clumps of hair

Mine has gotten more onry as he's gotten older and dislikes being groomed. So I have to have him knocked out to be groomed as the vet is worried he'll have a heart attack from getting so agitated.
He'd been going to the groomer every 8 weeks since he was 12 weeks old. Now none of the groomers will touch him.

Yes Huskies are very vocal. I had 20 at one point when I was running a dog team in Alaska.

Have always had dogs. Have always crate trained em. Also trained them to stay the hell off people and obey basic commands. It's a commitment and any decent dog owner (note- you're NOT a fucking dog 'mom) will invest the time to keep their dog from being an annoying POS.
Neighbors don't bother and their dogs bark for hours at a time if we stay outside where they can see us.
They just say, "Well, dogs bark.", ok, fine. I'll train your damn dogs.
Just purchased a motion sensing sprinkler to nail them when they come to the corner adjacent to our yard to bark.
Howdy neighbor, game on.

Yes 👍
