True! Someone made me an offer I couldnt refuse and its for sale locally as well as ebay.

I don't blame you. Everything is for sale for the right price. If someone offered my 35k for my Rubicon, I'd sell it in a heart beat. Only because I'm 100% certain I could replace it with another and pocket the extra money!

I’m surprised your boss didn’t just ask you if you could give the money back and he could give the LJ back, haha. Cause I really don’t think he’ll get 50k for that... so I hope he didn’t spend 50k on it!

But he bought a unicorn...something doesn’t add up lol. Maybe he saw an opportunity to flip the LJ right away, but he’s got it priced way too high.

I don't know how much @Fouledplugs paid for it, but like you said, unless that thing has a Hemi in it, 50k is a far to outlandish price.

Of course there's a lot of people with deep pockets out there, so I could damn well be wrong.

Yea it was awesome, but I have projects still going on a YJ build. The LJ would just sit and I would prefer someone actually enjoy it and take it out everyday.

My bone stock TJ has 14k miles on it and it just sits. Id just be adding the AEV LJ to a collection. The sooner I get my YJ done the sooner I can start on my TJ overland build.

And if someone offered you a price for your TJ, lets day $30k for example, you wouldnt take it?

No for around 26-27 it would really get me thinking. There is just nothing that I really feel like buying at the moment more than what I already have is what I mean. If I got 30k for my TJ or had s prospective buyer interested I would pay for their flight out and hand over the keys.

That's the issue... Sell my Rubicon for 30k? Okay, but if I do that, another Rubicon will cost me about 20k (give or take) in clean condition. Then I'd have 10k for a build, but mine right now is almost exactly where I want it.

So I'd need more than 30k, because there's no other vehicle I'd replace it with other than a TJ... honest to goodness.

Wranglers seem to be one of the only vehicles where you can actually get the money you spent in mods back when you sell it. This explains why people pay absurd prices for build JKs, TJs, etc. I mean I sold my black TJ Rubicon with the Currie lift and everything EASILY for 26k, the guy didn't even blink. I probably could have gotten more too based off how many calls I had.

I guess this is because Wrangler owners know how much money it costs for a nice build. When you see quality parts like OME, Savvy, Currie, etc., on a used Wrangler, it instantly makes it more valuable in my opinion.

You certainly can't say this about a BMW for instance. Every dime you dump into those things in aftermarket mods, you will never, ever get back when it comes time to sell it. This is why so many people return them to stock and sell the aftermarket stuff separately.

We're lucky to own Wranglers. The resale value is so dang good!

I’m right there with ya, but if I had somebody that wanted to pay me 27-30k for my beloved TJR it would get me thinking.

So your black TJR you got 26k for it? What was the price when you bought it?
