Yea, I got the shampoo/extractor out today to finally clean the carpet and front seats in my 2006 Rubicon I just got.
Here are the results. A little sugar and cream, it was delicious!

Not today, but last week: replaced throw out bearing and clutch. While I was in there I removed all the crumbling dry-rotted wire looms and replaced with new. Then I dry-fit the 241 TC I'll be installing soon and measured for new driveshafts and a tummy tuck.
Alabama is pretty lax, cars on blocks and toilets in the front yard are the norm!!!!!!

Started building my fence out of empty Bud Light cans, and then they go and make me switch brands.
My sentiments exactly lol I just don’t have the time or energy to fight with them at the moment so I’ll keep the disassembled engine inside until the heat dies down. I was hoping to find a definitive answer as to why it was knocking but all the bearings look good and all the pistons are intact. Maybe it was a piston ring issue. I noticed one of the oil slinger rings seemed like it was frozen in place but didn’t take the time to check them all out thoroughly.
The old cone-top steel cans were much stronger for building border walls!
More than likely, one of your neighbors turned you in. Most code enforcement departments are 100% reactionary - they only inspect when they get complaints. There are so many stupid rules on the books, that they'd have to hire ten times the inspectors to be proactive.
Knocks can be caused by just a few thousandths of wear, and you can't see that. You need to measure it. Really bad knocks, no, but in those cases, you're usually a short time away from a catastrophic failure.

Preemptively replaced the OPDA in the LJ. Nice to have something go straight forward without a bunch of extra headaches.
