If I had the money...

I have one too, but for some reason she hardly ever talks my ear off. She only says something if something needs said. It’s kinda weird, even after 18 years, but she’s just not that way.

Great Jeep again! Love it every time

Thanks man, I do appreciate that.

Looking at the pictures of that hardtop, I sometimes think the 2 handles on the window is kinda ugly. But man that would be handy to have!

I’m trying to come up with a pros and cons list on why I actually NEED a hardtop.

I don’t NEED to spend $2k on anything right now. But would a hardtop make life easier with a 1 year old and a baby on the way?

With that side window it would! If you can slip the kid into the car seat that way you can justify keeping the TJ.

Once they get a little older it’s fine, but it’s those baby and toddler ages where a TJ can be difficult for a small family. I’d say “justified” purchase if you could save the money

Any gripes with the top? Run without the side windows often or is it a PITA?

A few gripes, build quality is okay. The actual top(hat) I received had cracks and obviously leaked, so they sent me a new one. I have an extra top now. The second top also had cracks, see pics of outside and a second pic of the inside, where they overdrilled in multiple places. Looks bad, does not leak, but I fear it will so I need to find a fiberglass repair shop, or marine shop since I live on the east coast.

The windows are flimsy and the screws started to pop out after a couple days.

Other than that, no major issues, had some leaks but just needed to readjust the position of the top, you must tinker with it since it is 6 separate pieces.

I have not yet run without the side windows, once spring arrives that is when I can start to remove pieces. Looking forward to that and will post some reviews.

WOW, hard tops are expensive!

When I'm looking at a vehicle that costs between $10-12k and a hard top is almost 20% of that cost... lol Seems pricey!

Moral of the story? Buy one that already has a hardtop. :D
Or just run a soft top and don't worry about it hehe
