AEV LJ Rubicon For Sale

There are a lot of poor decisions made by people attempting to sell their vehicles on Craigslist; one of them is photographing it while it’s running and surrounding the vehicle with a smoke plume.
Lol yep doesn't look ideal

There must have been a time
when we could have said no.

I’ve been watching this thread from afar for a couple of months now... The story about someone buying and then flipping this Jeep is complete BS.

I am now the 2nd owner of this Jeep and I purchased it from its sole and original owner.

Yea it was awesome, but I have projects still going on a YJ build. The LJ would just sit and I would prefer someone actually enjoy it and take it out everyday.

My bone stock TJ has 14k miles on it and it just sits. Id just be adding the AEV LJ to a collection. The sooner I get my YJ done the sooner I can start on my TJ overland build.

And if someone offered you a price for your TJ, lets day $30k for example, you wouldnt take it?

I get that, but that would mean that @Fouledplugs never purchased the jeep. Does that make any sense to you?

Oh... or maybe he never technically registered it in his own name and therefore was never a legimate and documented second owner. That would make sense.

I was just asking the other day if this was for sale. Well maybe somebody can shed some light on whats going on here lol. Either way it’s a nice damn LJ.

Hopefully, cause I have no idea. You are right though, it’s a damn nice LJ!

@Fouledplugs never owned this Jeep, although my understanding is that he does know the former owner from “work.”

I had been in contact/discussion with the original owner for quite some time and I finally purchased it from him a few weeks ago (not via eBay).

The former owner originally purchased the Jeep new in 2006 and I am now the 2nd owner.

Did you purchase off eBay or from @Fouledplugs?

Here it is in front of my house right now...

This Jeep is unique enough that it was really pretty easy for me to research it online when I was doing my due diligence after test driving. I found this thread (and another “unicorn” thread on this site...I think now deleted).

Needless to say, when I came across these threads, I was confused about who I was dealing with and confronted the owner. These erroneous threads almost caused me to walk away, but we cleared everything up and flash forward several weeks, we came to an agreement and I bought the Jeep.

@Delta94 So now that you own an amazing AEV built Jeep LJ Rubicon. What are you plans? Keep it as is? Trail rides? Or just enjoy all the open mouth stares “did you see that bad ass Jeep just go by”?

The other unicorn LJ thread your referring to was a Ferrari blue 2005 with a 5.7 liter hemi AEV upfit...its still open. Take a look at the pics it’s pretty nice. So your saying @Fouledplugs never purchased said jeep?

Beautiful Jeep. Hope you enjoy it and take it out a lot. Sorry about the drama that my thread caused.

He was referring to the thread "Finally Found My Unicorn" which fouled plugs started and is now gone:

It seems like the facts were a little... muddled here. I don't think there was a single person that read these threads and didn't think he purchased it from someone, then immediately sold it to his boss who then was selling it due to a divorce.

Your right. I tried looking that thread up when I found that Ferrari blue one to compare but I couldn’t find it.
