Fun day in the turkey woods with a bonus!

Nice turkey and a great bonus. We are heading out today to take some friends turkey hunting for a couple days. Will also be looking for the "Bonus".

Smaller coyotes in the south.
Bergmann's rule/effect ....
Our northern coyotes would look like wolves to southern folks .....

Don't know about the 'chuck, but there are some dudes on a CA gun site that swear by yote jerky.

We hunt, A lot. lol I spend more time calling birds and trying to get everyone else on the deer than filling my own tags but it’s what I love to do.
Turkeys and Deer mostly. I’m pretty proud to say my wife is as addicted as I am to all of it.

Nothing beats a good horse in the mountains.......just gotta find the right horse. A lot of bad horses out there and a lot that haven't been in the mountains. Some horses don't like to cross water, step over trees, pack a dead animal on its back.. etc. But a good mountain horse that doesn't mind packing out a dead animal on its back......."priceless".

Nothing beats a good horse in the mountains.......just gotta find the right horse. A lot of bad horses out there and a lot that haven't been in the mountains. Some horses don't like to cross water, step over trees, pack a dead animal on its back.. etc. But a good mountain horse that doesn't mind packing out a dead animal on its back......."priceless".

Kind of like trying to find a good TJ here in the North East?
