What did you do to your TJ today?

Yeah I've been honestly nervous to attempt a self alignment idk why just am but I'll definitely check that out considering the amount of money spent on alignments in the past, kinda gets to me

Take your time, double check everything twice. Once you get it right on you will be happy because you did it yourself and it is pretty easy. Really the hardest part is getting the steering wheel straight. It takes me a couple tries usually.

Just think about it. You can try it, and if you can't work it out. you can take it somewhere. You are not really out anything but time.
If you don't have adjustable control arms, the only adjustment you have is toe. So know that if you do take it somewhere the only thing they are going to do is adjust the toe. You can do that yourself pretty easily and whenever you want.

It really is a simple adjustment. Just take your time and make small turns in the tie rod and recheck the measurements. Will take you longer to set up for it than to make the actual adjustment.

Well, today, the AC blower seems to have been possessed by a demon.

Fan blows full bore on the lowest setting and nothing on the other three... however, if I switch to the other speeds then try to go back to the low one, it doesn’t work at all.

So now we play the is it the switch or is it the resistor or is it toasted wiring game...

Been there done that. I would start with the resistor. Hope its an easy find.

Not so much what I did today, but what I've done over the last several weeks. Getting ready for a group run to the Magruder Corridor in Northern Idaho. https://www.fs.usda.gov/recarea/nezperceclearwater/recarea/?recid=16482

Over the last several weeks I've:

Upgraded the battery to a 775CCA AGM Superstart with dual terminals (thinking winch)
Replaced the starter motor
Changed the oil
Installed 2" Rubicon Express puck lift, Bilstein 5100s, MetalCloak rear trackbar and sway bar discos
Changed (rather added) transfer case fluid - when I drained it only about 2 tablespoons of blackness drained out. Required the full 2.2 pints to fill it.
Replaced 2 rear driveshaft U-joints with new Spicer 5-1310x. This was a bit of a PITA. Used the bfh/socket method which worked fine, but I couldn't get one of the needle bearing caps off the t-case yolk end joint. I think it was OEM. Ended up cutting the joint itself to get it out of there. Love my grinder (so long as I have a replacement part handy)!

In anticipation of the winch install (new Warn M8000S sitting in the back of my truck), I started on my stock bumper modification earlier this week. I cut off the PO's homemade hoop and light tabs to make room for the Rough Country 1/4" winch plate. Ground everything down. There were some mild rust spots where the PO's welds weren't sealed. Pulled the bumper and prepped it really thoroughly - cleaned, sanded, steel wool to the rust spots, primed and painted. Looks good. Going to mock up the winch today. Not going to crank it down just yet. I'm waiting for some beefy d-ring mounts I ordered from Summit Racing that I need to prep/paint and will bolt to bumper.

I also have the Moog ZJ tie rod/ends in the garage which I prepped/painted along with the bumper. Waiting on MetalCloak front track bar, steering stabilizer and rear sway bar links to install in one session. Hopefully next week, but MetalCloak is kind of slow to ship compared to rest of the world . . . Finally, I've some Redline MT90 coming this week for the transmission and I may just pay my regular mechanic to service the diffs because I'm tired, my back hurts and I'm not sure how fun I think some of this stuff is! Gonna go clean my K&N air filter and mock up the bumper/winch. I'll post a picture of the bumper/winch in the front bumper thread later. The list goes on, but that's where I'm at for now . . .

Got some good garage time in this weekend, between the other stuff on the honey do list. Started installing my sliders. Didn't quite go as planned, will update in my build thread. They look damn good though...

I also worked on my new rear bumper. I bought one of those EAG one on Amazon. It looks well built, and well finished. However that is where the praise ends. Their no-drill, no mod installation? FALSE! Running 32" tires, the tire contacted the top of the bumper...Also, I had to drill a couple (4) holes in my crossmember for mounting bolts. Oh, and those bolts are IMPOSSIBLE (well, maybe just very difficult) to get to without dropping the fuel tank. When I contacted them...they listened, then went away. Like, didn't respond at ALL. I left them a shitty review. Anyway, after I got the Rugged Ridge Spare tire bracket the bumper fits great...and bonus, it hides the big, ugly butt crack left over from my body lift. Don't stalk my from my license plate!

I have this same bumper, and can say that even with a stock size tire, it hits the bumper. I ended up adding about half an inch of washers under my spare to space it out far enough to fit when I had the stock 30" spare on. Also had a 32" tire on an aftermarket wheel installed on there with the same trick. Of course, the fit all depends on your backspacing - you can't expect them to be able to account for all backspacings and tire sizes.

Also - the rear bolts are just fine and easy to get to on an LJ... :)

Not sure the above deserves a shitty review. The lack of support - sure. But the product itself is actually pretty good.

I should clarify. I think I was fair in my review...I said the product was nice, but the support really sucked. I was pretty bummed to find that I needed to move my tire, Specifically when it says that it will work with, and I quote, "Center tire opening allows for larger tire while still keeping that off-road look."

and "No cutting or drilling required."

I don't have any crazy backspacing. I'm running a 32" tire on the factory offset. I even have a body lift to get the bottom of the tire FURTHER away from the bumper.

Here is my exact review.
This bumper, while it seems well built, does not fit exactly as described in the description. It specifically states no drill, yet there are 4 holes that need to be drilled in the frame crossmember at the back of the Jeep (Mine is an 04). Also, it states that it will work with oversized rear tire. That may be true, but not if you are trying to use the factory tire carrier. I'm running a 32" tire, and it does not fit. The tire interferes with the bumper. When I contacted EAG about this, they told me I need to use a different (aftermarket) tire carrier. When Pressed, they went radio silent. My last contact with them was to answer a question about what year my Wrangler is.

Is it supposed to be offcenter?
