I purchased this wrangler a few years ago as I ran across it on Craigslist in Hawaii. The son of a bank owner/founder was selling it on behalf of his father because his father had too many vehicles in his collection. The father was getting old and wasn't doing anything with the mass collection of cars that he had built up over the years. So the Jeep was sold to me.

It doesn’t really get driven that much since have other Jeep Wranglers. I drive a stock 95 Wrangler YJ daily, am building another 95 I have had since turning 16, and purchased a 95 from the original owner that has 3,6xx miles on it. I bought it on a whim based on the condition of the Jeep and the milage. It had some options I liked like the factory hard top and the 4.0. I am not a fan of the auto 42RLE transmission. But as I keep saying to myself, it wont be in there for long... I actually almost traded it for a 2006 Red TJ with black interor, 4.0, a 6 speed, and 19k on the clock. I didnt... but I do wish it was red.

Short Term Build Goals:
Custom tube doors with metal skins, paint matched, Truck-Lite LED headlights, LED interior light swap, some unique interior upgrades, rear bumper upgrade, 31’s, OME 2-1/2 inch lift springs with Rancho shocks, JB Conversions super short SYE, JE Reel DriveShafts, Regeared, Polished/Machined Rubicon Moab wheels, Disc brakes on the Dana 44.

Long Term Build Goals:
Pull and sale the factory 4.0, trans, and xcase and swap to a GM LS on a standalone harness or a modified factory harness. GM 4L80E, Dana 300, More to come on the long term stuff.

14k miles!? Wow, she's basically brand new. Looks clean as hell too.

What happened to the Golden Eagle decals?

Thank you Chris.

Pulled them when I decided to buy factory Rubi wheels for it.

And I would like to get my seats re upholstered with some nice leathers.

To me they were just decals and painted wheels.

Truthfully that’s all any of the “special edition” Wranglers are, even the JKs. Nothing more than stickers, wheels, and trim. With the exception of the Rubicon of course.

I always laugh at how many special edition models there are of the JKs. There’s got to be well over 50.

All of it, just to get folks in the dealer’s doors.

Nice find! What is the backstory on how you located such a gem (maybe add to your OP for some color commentary, haha!)? Any other plans for her, or just keeping stock?

The one thing some special edition TJ's added was the upgraded rear axle. The Golden Eagle has the Dana 44 upgrade just like the 05 RME I picked up about a month ago. I just wish mine had 85k less on the OD to match what Fouledplugs has found!
