Colorado Road Trip Routes or Destinations

Those are cool suggestions, look like they're kinda where I was looking already? I am thinking just doing this over a single week

ogden canyon road, pine view reservoir, all great places. i’d rather be living in Utah. and the bread basket is for growing wheat not touring.

if/when we move to Denver. come on out and we will do the tail of the dragon.

I'll check these out too. I might have to cut out some of the trip to add more stuff in, maybe less time in the rez though missing the grand canyon might be a bummer

Move to Denver? Aren't you in like east CO? Tail of the dragon is east coast isn't it?

Oh there is a Denver in NC?? Didn't know that lol.

Yeah I think there is a big MR2 group that does tail of dragon together actually, I think they already have 2026 dates and people are reserving hotels already

Glacier NP and going to the sun is a neat drive.

i’ve been trying for years to get to Banff. but we always have the Camper.

north of here is the guernsey ruts. not a scenic twisty canyon drive. but walking the ruts from the stage coaches in the push westward was really awesome for my history loving side.

We did that trip with our kids when we were home educating . It makes you think about the folks that wagon trained across the county . Real cool !

:p

I tried to post that earlier but the forum broke.

I was joking about Runza, I’m not a fan. And roads in Nebraska are about as boring as you’ll ever find.

But the fun thing about Nebraska roads , are some of them lead you out of the state !

What time of year?

If you’re flexible, southern Utah has some beautiful roads (Boulder area is incredible) but I would avoid in the hottest part of the summer. I have heard good things about the roads in the Badlands and Black Hills areas but again best to avoid peak summer.
