Catalyst Brands, which owns the license to operate Eddie Bauer stores across North America, is preparing to file for bankruptcy protection, a source close to the matter told Fast Company.

The filing could cause the company to shutter all of its North American stores, the person said.

Catalyst Brands also oversees Lucky Brand, Aéropostale, Nautica, Brooks Brothers and JCPenney, and has not yet confirmed the details of the filing. WWD reported the potential filing last week, noting that it could happen sometime this month...

...though Penn State bought it shortly after I enrolled. My ID said WACC, but PSU didn't care for the name "wack" and it was quickly changed to the Pennsylvania College of Technology. It was a solid school, the place has exploded and expanded since then from what I understand.

Lived on the third floor of an old Victorian at 771 W. 3rd with 14 other knucklheads. I did a Jimi Hendrix on my first guitar (a very cheap instrument) on the front porch of that house... :D

Yea, Penn College/WACC has a great reputation and 96% placement rate. Several of my neighbors teach there. One is an actual beer scientist, with his research in the fermentation program. He consults with a lot of small breweries.
