What did you do to your TJ today?

What tranny? I’m having similar issues and think I should follow your lead. How hard was it to drain, change filter, and refill?

42RLE tranny, it was very easy, trust me I'm no mechanic, but I love wrenching, it was simple as dropping the transmission pan, I believe it was 13 bolts holding it in. Now you could just drop the pan, catch the fluid and measure the amount that you drain and refill with new , but I did a complete flush.there are some good write ups on how to do so, and you tube lol I can show you the process with pictures if you like, but I'm currently at work it would have to wait until the weekend. Here are a few pis of the pan dropped. Remember to get all your supplies, tranny filter, pan gasket, red RTV sealer, tranny fluid ect.

catching the old. After this we began the flush at the radiator. ( not the antifreeze, the transmission fluid ) I know this is all confusing, but I can explain better if your unable to find a write up or YouTube video, holler if any questions, I'll do my best to explain.

Installed my new to me bumper. Got this off of CL for $125. Sanded with 80 grit wet or dry, used acetone to wipe it down and painted it with three coats of Rustoleum Hammered black. PO had it painted Pewter or some color like that. Bought new bottom bolts from Fastenal and Bob's your Uncle! Thing is solid 1/4" steel. Now I am going to get some corner braces for it. Will mostly be used for the rack for my mountain bike. Sanded and painted the cross member while I was at it.

Added a new headunit and Polk speakers. I will complete the full system install this fall. It's too hot right for all that

Nice features:
Bluetooth with aptx for high quality streaming

Satellite radio (nice when I go camping and there is no internet or radio stations)

Weather band radio tuner (should be useful because I always check the weather on my phone when I fish off the coast)

Aux

Ahhhh ahhhh the Clarion m508. Such a nice looking head unit. Have a friend that test drove it for Clarion. I think they fit perfect in the Jeep TJ. They dont look like a transformer spawn. They actually look like they compliment the interior.

Thanks. I worked at a major car audio online retailer and my price was only 5 percent over cost at the time. I was never tempted to replace my headunits just because of the aftermarket look.

I would not have changed my TJ headunit if it wasn't for the m508. I started doing research and saw threads on companies that can modify the stock unit so I was going to go that route. Luckily I remembered that Clarion does less flashy units and when I looked them up, they had this bad boy that just released. It looks like it belongs in the old school interior. It is also UV and saltwater resistant.

That's is really good looking and does not stand out. Been thinking what to do for mine and this seems like a great option. Is it a drop in replacement for the stock unit without modification?

Nice, that looks a lot like my Warn Rock Crawler bumper. Good looking paint job!

I service pools in 2 different North Texas counties every week.
It's my business partner :)
Did you check out my new hood louvres, I just love those things :)
You need a Jeep girl, or maybe a pool girl!

Yeah, those louvres are awesome. They are the best looking ones by far. Look totally at home on a TJ. Awesome work. I am so tempted. I saw your write-up. Great work! What did they come off of? A Cherokee or something?

Got most of the of the Teraflex mega short SYE installed. Just need a new rubber washer for the front output shaft, get the front driveshaft reinstalled, and reinstall skid plates. The rubber washer I have is shreaded and they don't include one in the kit. Hoping to find one local tomorrow.
