I posted about this yesterday to be sure it wouldn't be removed.

Full disclosure:

I started an account here because I work for a dealer who has confidence in my ability to buy cool sh!&. I had a Wrangler freak staring over my shoulder telling me to bid on a rare LJ...so I bought it.

We now have an 04 LJ in Shale Green with 67k miles. After somesome research it seems it was 1 of only 314 in that color for LJ's.

I wanted to post it here since it's completely southern, low miles, and rust-free.

3 owners and the last owner had it since 2006 with 18k miles. He applied a body lift on top of the factory body spacers and added 35's and a stereo head unit. Really seems like a mall crawler.

We replaced the valve cover gasket and put on new, cheap 35's. One overhead speaker is blown. Top is in great shape.

I couldn't find the "vendor section" to post to as implied in the rules. (On mobile-maybe it doesn't show there.)

I'm asking for permission to post a link to our website or post in sales ads.

p.s. I wouldn't take the time to post here if I wasn't confident in the condition and rarity of this LJ.

Thanks,
"Neube"

We are asking top dollar because I paid top dollar, auction fees, transportation, inspection, detail, valve cover gasket, put on new tires, changed oil, etc. I had to pay shop rates. Just replaced shifter and linkage today for about $400. Damn shop rates!

That said, price is negotiable.

A/C was blowing cold 2 days ago, but blowing hot today.

Edit: not blowing cold was according my coworkers who didn't give the Jeep 2 minutes in 92 degree weather with recirc on. A/C blows cold after about a minute when not circulating 100+ interior temps.

If you have interest please pm me. If you call the dealership please ask for me, Brad, since now it's my baby.

Hope this is forum-worthy! Thanks guys!

If you need more pics I'll be happy to post them, hopefully in a timely manner. Interior pics are in the link. Lame aftermarket floormats and a dash pad are in there. Dash is pristine other than the small circular velcro pads used to attach the mat close to the windshield.

You guys would have been better off pulling the body lift, and putting 31s on it...IMHO

It's all about costs on my end. The shop gives sales a slight discount on labor, but none on parts. I was staring down 6 hours labor (I know it doesn't take that long, but that's how shops work) to bring it back to stock height...not cheap.

The Delta between 31s and 35s would not cover that? It's easy enough you could have done it in your driveway. Anyway, I'm sure you'll sell it. Looks great on 35s, it's basically the minimum tire size you need to make the LJ not look awkward.

I could've done it on their lifts after hours, but I'm a lazy salesman and it needed $$ in tires anyway. My thought was that the right person would appreciate it and make it their own either way.

Also, no death wobble as it sits. With our new building we just moved into we got a road force balance machine. Makes all the difference.

This marks the end of the sales pitch and a bit of CYA since I work for a dealer:

Shipping to CA, OR, or MA runs about $1,000 from East TN. Shipping anywhere else in the lower 48 should be less.

We charge a $399 dealer fee to handle tag work, paying buyer's local taxes (we collect), etc. Buyer never has to visit DMV.

Legal stuff:

It is the buyer's right in the state of TN to have the vehicle inspected by a third party company of their choice at their own expense prior to purchase. I'll get it to the inspector of choice for free if it's in or around Knoxville, TN. Otherwise, the potential buyer pays the cost of transportation to the inspection facility.

I highly recommend pre-purchase inspection when buying any vehicle sight-unseen.

Don't use Lemon Squad. I've twice seen them inspect a vehicle and not even put it on a lift.

...end CYA / pitch.

Thanks again for allowing me to post this LJ. I tried to post a fairly rare 2008 IS-F on the Lexus owner's forum last year and the mods threw a sh!4-fit! Great community y'all have here!

Also, I'll gladly do a FB Messenger "facetime" video for a complete walk-around or just chat. Just pm me.

Thanks,
Brad "Neube"

Tried to post it to BaT, but they didn't accept. No love for Wranglers on there.
I don't think it's that they have no love for Wranglers as much as it is this particular one. The commentors would pick apart the body lift and Chinese tires. If this was a Brute or something of the sort I'm sure they'd be more accepting. They have only sold a few Wranglers, but I doubt many are submitted.

I agree, the cheap tires and body lift hurt it and BaT armchair experts are brutal. Still has good bones though. If I had the $$ and garage space it'd be mine. Next week I'm dropping the price below $20k so hopefully it'll find a home soon.

Very pretty LJ. Would love to have one, but just not in the cards for me. I would lose my only daughter if I got rid of 'her' orange TJ. I'll pass this around as it does have good bones. I'll never know why they didn't sell more of that color. As they say on BaT, "GLWS"

Nice looking LJ. Commuted all the way to Pals in Knoxville almost 2 and half hours to look at a vehicle that was negotiable when I spoke to the salesman before leaving the house. Somehow it was non negotiable when I arrived  good luck

Not sure how that worked. Why didn't you reach out to me?

I will say, we had the LJ long enough that the price was lowered to dead cost.

It sold a couple months ago for exactly what we had in it.

Are you talking about a different vehicle? Can you PM me the name of who you spoke with? I assure that isn't standard procedure.

Some stuffs hard to move In winter time it seems. Yeah it was a different vehicle. It was all handled then with the manager. Told me a price out the door and was negotiable and when I got there The salesman said it wasn’t what he said. Been back last year. No big deal, water under the bridge. I remember seeing the Lj setting there. Somebody got a nice one
