long time google’n search lurker
At least 6 years anyway! lol

99 tj Sahara
Bought it from the original owner in 2013 for $1500
It was totally stock, original soft top.
Half door hinge pin nuts never removed!
The rearend Dana 35 was shot. I’m assuming from looking at the bent out backing plates, someone must’ve tried driving off with the parking brake reefed on?
I replaced both axles with front hp30 and rear 8.25 29 spline shaved for clearance

Thank you for the ad!

Nice TJ, welcome aboard. The 8.25 is different, from a XJ?

Yes, both axles are from a 98 xj donor. 3.55 gears turning 35’s hahaha. Replacement axles in this ratio are plentiful in my area. I have a 4.1 teralow 231, Low range is tolerable enough. I have a couple of Dana 300s available in the garage. I’m going to rebuild one, 4.1, twin stick, flip and swap.

Nice. I had a 95 XJ with the 8.25. I ran a hardened 29 spline axle, No Slip, 33" Swampers, 4.56's without problems. Decent axle and super easy to set up. But yea, you need some gears :D

Neat. My parents live about an hour from there in Portland. I just got back from a wheeling trip in Warren.

PV4 or Western Maine Mountains?
I belong to both clubs. I haven’t wheeled much this year. I’m sure we know all the same Jeep peeps

I’ve done the Western Maine mountain Jeep jamboree 2014 and 2015 chili trail, stonewall, Sherwood, moose run and ridge line. Wheeled Jericho mountain in Berlin, nh a couple of times. I’m a third generation Jeeper, my dad has a 79 cj7 that he bought brand new. We keep our Jeeps for the long haul and avoid unnecessary abuse if possible. We prefer more ledge trails over mud. My son is serving active duty in Alaska. He has an 05 rubicon lj.

I was unable to link my fb page.

No typo lol.
The seller was open to lower offer, but my good conscious wouldn’t allow me too
You and @Squatch...refuse to pay less!!

Very nice TJ, I really like your mods. I'd love to get back to Maine, I have only visited once since I lived there as a kid - my dad was stationed at Loring AFB outside of Limestone, in Aroostook County up north. Spent three years there in middle school...we left there in January1969, in a blizzard with -65* wind chill...never was so glad to get warm again.

I can see where Maine would be a great place to offroad in a TJ.

Western Maine Mountain Jeepers. We did Mt. Pleasant and Tommy’s Playground. Last time we did Mt. Pleasant and Washington Trail.

My father has been a trail guide a few times for the Jamboree over the last few years.
