Looking for 3/4" shackles with 3/4" pin (do they make such a thing?)

Leaf spring shackles? I'm not sure what you mean by shackles when talking about a TJ. What am I missing here?

EDIT: Wait a second, do you mean d-ring shackles?

EDIT 2: Yup, pretty sure you do. Why do you specifically need a 3/4" pin? Would other sizes not work? From what I remember, most are 7/8".

Here’s a screen shot of a Crosby Shackel chart. For some reason I couldn’t post a link.

Two things to note here:
1. You are looking for a 5/8 shackle. This size shackle will USUALLY have a 3/4” dia. pin
2. Buy Crosby!!! Not smittybuilt, Harbor Freight, no name, etc. Spend the $ and get the real deal.

There are other quality makers out there but Crosby is what I’m familiar with.
I can’t stress this enough, your life may depend on it.

End of Rant. Lol

If you check out Tractor Supply please make sure you purchase a reputable brand.

Below is a picture taken in our lab before I retired. This experience is what I base my bias toward Crosby quality shackles on. Sorry for poor quality picture but you get the idea.

We weren’t allowed to have anything else in the shop.

Pardon my ignorance, but what exactly are we looking at up there ^^^?
In the pic we are removing a ballasted, 1 Ton truck, from a three axis road simulator.
The simulator is basically a means of replicating road events (bumps) using servo hydraulics. It allows you to speed up suspension and body testing without using a driver. Not a complete replacement for real world testing just another tool.

We would prep the vehicle for test on the hoist in you can just see in the foreground of the above picture. Then we would “fly” the test truck, via the two beams, into the test cell and connect it to the simulator at the wheel hubs.

The picture was just to show the rigging attached to cradles and it’s complete reliance on quality shackles.
I should have provided more explanation.

We use Crosby for the most part but also Cambell, both made in USA. Agree 100%, do not buy off brand/chinese shackles, there is little to no quality control and if they break very bad things can (and usually do) happen......
