Had a great time today. Made some new friends and Tom is an excellent guide! He knows the Mendocino Forest like the back of his hand.
Here’s a couple of poser shots of Alex and Jim! And yes, that’s air under Alex’s right front tire. He was rockin’ It!

Nice poser shot @tomtaylz ! You may have just slit your own throat for TJ of the year shot with my rig. Lol!

Had a great time guys! Thanks for being trial boss @Thunderhead ! Can't wait till the smoke is gone and we can get back up there and really appreciate the views.
Yes.....and get some rain to settle the dust too.

Here's a few pics I took on the trip.

It was still very smoky. At just shy under 7K feet we were still under the smoke's ceiling.
This was further down in elevation towards the beginning of the trail.

Tom took by some cabins in the middle of nowhere. Supposedly, you can rent them out.

Of course, no run is complete without the standard poser pics!

Could be a clogged hood vent...they can get blocked with leaves and stuff

Yeah I need to investigate. I think it would be passenger side getting wet, if my understanding of the air intake under the cowl is correct, although I want to take off the cowl anyway to put in a filter.

I’m thinking probably the cowl/windscreen seal or something.

I had the same issues when I got the Jeep from the PO....only a small leak but the hood vent under the cowl was blocked with dead and rotting leaves....dug them all out and leak was gone.....and the smell too haha
