Overland LJR built to explore and expedition

I replaced my driver-side door seal due to the same reason. I used a Crown seal and wasn't too happy with it; it's thicker than the OEM one and makes the door significantly harder to close, even after adjusting the latches. It also makes the door stick out from the body somewhat instead of being flush.

In my case after replacing the seal I still had water on the bottom edge of my door and new seal.

My Jeep will puddle water similarly to yours but for my TJ I'm leaning towards the windshield cowl seal. If you reach up and feel the wires behind your OBDII plug are they wet? When my floor is soaked those wires are always wet. I've even seen it in the act dripping from those wires.

I just got a new cowl seal and will be installing it later today, hoping solve my problem!

Cables seem dry. Seal at the bottom of the door was dripping wet.

My door seal will also be soaked on the bottom but it doesn't seem to get into my cab. In my case the bulk of the water always comes in from under the dash.

Chasing leaks is a fun process :)

How about a small drill hole in the middle of where the puddle accumulates. :p

Next time you come by we should clean the cowl then use the hose to check for a leak.

Run a dollar bill between the seal and tub along the circumference of the door seal. Least resistance of the bill might find the weak spot. Adjustment is usually a combination of brute force and hinge adjustment, if indeed it is the door that is leaking.

Need to wait until next paycheck then!

Is replacing the seal generally something you’d recommend or just leave it and adjust the door?

I would only replace the seal if I found physical damage to it. Clean the seal well and lube it with some silicone spray on a rag, then borrow a dollar from Alex for testing.

Look what showed up today. They should have the special REM coating which is exciting.

5.38 (well done) - I'm looking forward to your review. I think it'll feel like a rocket ship (relatively speaking) with the 285/75 16 tires.

Fixed my reverse light (crappy trailer wiring relay strikes again), removed transfer case drop/cleaned up skid and frame, painted my light tabs and tow hooks, savvy BL, brown dog MML. Almost like I got a tummy tuck out of removing that old hideous drop!

Just need brakes and I’m all ready for 35s :). Can’t wait until my CAs get here too, the skyjacker CAs are one of the last eye sore things on my Jeep. Little more vibes at idle with the brown dog although not bad at all. Nothing has changed at speed (I’ve had a bit of vibes at around 65-70 which I believe are linked to tire balance).

Picture looks a bit weird because it was really foggy

My Savvy bumper gets here on Thursday... I'm still debating on whether or not I want to put the winch guard / bull bar on it or not. I'll have it powder coated and try it with and without it just to see which look I prefer. I'm not sure if it serves a functional standpoint or not (other than possibly attaching the safety thimble too).
