Love the color love the jeep.Because I love you guys I went out to the garage! Now I only ordered a basic Sport S, so I have the 3.6 auto and I upgraded the wheels. Everything else is "basic".

Thanks! Yeah on the Jeep build site, I was a little cautious. So I waited to see one in person and I feel in love with the battleship grey! It's official name is stingray. In the sun, it's so creamy. Now I'm so ready for nice weather so I can get topless. O and you wouldn't believe how quiet this new soft top is!Love the color love the jeep.
I still have yet to see a two door JL in person. I'd love to just take a ride, but I don't trust myself to not buy it.Thanks! Yeah on the Jeep build site, I was a little cautious. No doubt, and Jeep is doing the same to ensure marketability, and understandably so. The most unfortunate thing to me about that evolution is that with a 50k-ish price range, many aren't going to be able to experience one that otherwise might be interested. Then again, there's always the Mahindra Roxor, I guess.Harley's only had 6-7% of the market share in the late 60's to the mid 70's and if AMF hadn't bailed them out they would be gone, so they adapted, advanced and grew to take up to over half of the market share in the US. Jeep needs to do the same thing or they will die like the dodge truck. Its not what I like or want but that is what the market is now. Tim
Haha... Thanks! But I probably won't do too much to it honestly. A stock Jeep will take me any place I want to go. Grocery shopping, fields, Forrest roads and just general overland stuff. But right now, the aftermarket is really slow and what's out there is stupid expensive right now. I can't wait for them to catch up.I still have yet to see a two door JL in person. Enjoy your new Jeep for a while before you start yanking things off of it!

When you see a 2 door JLR in person you’ll get it haha. It’s a nice unit for sure. So damn expensive tho. In a year or so the used prices will be a little more tolerable, but not much im afraid. The sting gray color is one of my favorite colors jeeps come out with in a long time.I still have yet to see a two door JL in person. The Canadian Jeeps are actually cheaper. That's why you can not buy a Canadian Jeep and bring it back to the US. Well, you can but you will have NO Warranty. A Canadian friend of mine said a fully loaded Rubicon was (iirc) equivalent to 45k American vs what we would pay for the same unit at 55k.Holy crap, that's 84,724 CAD!!!
You're a smart man @Spic. I could agree with you more.
They look good, but they're just covered in plastic and chrome like all the other new cars out there.
I get how it would appeal to someone who wants a comfortable daily driver, but still wants a "Jeep", but for those of us who consider the Wrangler to be more of a "recreational vehicle", it's lost it's appeal to me.
and how many people actually wanted an iron head sporster from that generation compared to an EVO? Just look at the sales numbers. I grew up in Tomakawk, one of the factory's was about a mile from the school, I can still remember the field trips through the factory. My Mom and Dad even worked there in the late 70's early 80's and friends parents retired from there. It was a better job than a lot there but overall it was just another place to work back then. TimUnion labor had alot to do with this. Not to get off topic.
I was kinda joking. It was more a statement of that's the closest thing we have left unfortunately. To the guy that mentioned the mahindra Roxor, do not buy that piece of crap! I worked at a dealer that sold mahindra tractors for 4 years and they are the biggest pieces of crap. I think everyone of them that we sold had multiple warranty issues. Problems with the electrical because they did not use weather tight connectors. I had one that the connector was corroded on a brand new tractor and it melted the connector which then supplied power to the mid pto which then turned on the snow blower that was attached to it on its own and it would not shut off. I was under the tractor looking for leaks at the time because almost all of them leaked and I’m lucky I didn’t loose a arm when this happened. I have tons of more stories and pictures but I’ll save that for another time. I mean they didn’t even make there own side by side. They farmed that out to a different company and all they had to do was put there stickers on them and they couldn’t even do that right. All there stickers fell off after a month. Look at a old mahindra. The paint and plastic is so bad that they all turn pink! Who wants a pink tractor that smokes and breaks every 25 hours. Have u ever had to split a tractor to put a new clutch in it after 35 hours? I have!

Even as a daily driver, I still prefer the TJ. Sure, it's not a smooth cush ride like the new cars, but it's comfortable, small and agile enough to fit in any parking spot I want, and my phone does everything I would care about any "infotainment" center doing.
The only thing I don't like my TJ for is long trips, but that's mostly because of how hard the wind noise makes it to chat with a passenger.
For the hell of it, I just did the Build and Price for a 2 door JLR on both Jeep.ca and Jeep.com. Both had all the same options added. The Canadian Jeeps are actually cheaper.
