We have a TJ dealer in Alabama, Gilbert Jeeps. About all he sells are nice , clean 4.0 TJ’s-

So I went to get my jack and soft top today because I left it Saturday when I got my hardtop put on.

I drove a Sahara with a custom shifter ....weird . It shifted so precise.

I drove a 60th anniversary with Goodyear km tires ...,it drove amazing . I mean amazing . I thought my Jeep drove incredible ...,this Jeep drove near perfect.

He has an X that the spare tire articulates as you open the gate...kind of cool.

He has an unusual Lj coming with under 60,000 miles..,was hauled in an enclosed trailer behind a motor home ....all painted to match . He buys from all over and delivers too, webejeeping.com. Good folks.

Cool, kind of like Cross. Cross sells a lot of highly modified TJs. They are in Kentucky though!

That articulating spare carrier is probably an ARB. Look at Quadratec for good pics of one.
Could also be a Bestop Highrock tire carrier. I've got one on my rig. They look like this (borrowed the pic from Noppes)...

It works like a champ. I've got some surface rust on mine that needs to be cleaned up, but it's so dry out here that I've not worried too much about it yet. I'll knock it out when I do some overall paintwork to the Jeep this spring.

Andy I know you are a cool guy. But you have been posting a lot in the threads with no pictures. What gives?

I'm using a cheapo, unlocked 2yr old Moto G6 plus that I bought from Best buy for 250. I can post pics directly from the chrome browser onto this site. The one good thing about it is that it's running Android 8.1 from an update I got recently. What version are you running, Andy?

It's a Droid Moto is all I know , fairly current phone ..I even have an app to compress pics that won't work . It did once . Any ideas?

My guess is that the site itself will compress the image size as it uploads to keep space utilization to a minimum on the site. For web hosting, drivespace = money.

With Android, I like to compare it to how Windows worked around the Windows XP era. It was good and stable for about 6 months. As updates and programs are added, the system started having more and more issues until you broke down and restored Windows to a new installation, and started the process all over again. I've found that when programs start to act wonky, and battery seems to be draining arbitrarily, I'll just reset the phone to factory defaults, and "fix" it for a while. Just have to be sure your photos, contacts and such are set to backup to the cloud.

Mine was acting a bit goofy and I reset it just Monday, and it acts like a new one.

We used to do paint jobs like that when I worked with my dad at his shop. We'd paint RVs, and cars that way, the labor involved was pretty intense to get it right. The worst was doing Coke trailers and roll sides. We had a contract to paint their fleet trucks for our town and Memphis, you'd think it'd be easy to get that one silver ribbon right, but you'd be mistaken. Paid good though.

Also thanks for saying that - I love Jeeps and I love people , and being on here is great ...it's a live channel for every upgrade , challenge , or whatever we are all up to with these things . I try hard to be positive , fun and occasionally try to say something worth reading . Being on here is like being in your own little private jeep club anytime, if that makes sense.
