Genright has released a new TJ/LJ product. The all aluminum center console looks really clean. Pretty cool for guys doing custom interior bits and xcase swaps.
In the descrption it mentions that they will be making a narrow version for the guys with wider seats.

Designed for a drop in fit. Looks clean to me, it wont be for everyone. Their console has custom add ons to include a blank one to do everything yourself.

$599.00

I like the look, but I want that digital instrument gauge cluster! Haven't seen one like that.

It is made from marine grade aluminum alloy.

Interesting term. Much better than military grade.

But after reading everything from their website. It looks like a very nitch product.

Doesn't work with stock transfer case.

Does not work with standard parking brake. Requires electronic brake.

I was so excited when i saw it. If they built one that works with a a stock manual i would have been running to the credit card. But if i ever do a v8 swap with an atlas ill be on this.

The 5000 series alloys are typically considered marine grade since they have a higher corrosion resistance. Other alloys are pretty suitable for higher corrosion inducing environments that boats see but the most common are the 5000 series.

Well, that console is pretty much exactly perfect for me. LS swap, Art Carr shifter, Atlas cable shifters, and race radio. I have been staring at this area for months and what to do with it. Currently its simple and works, but I need cupholders! 😁 My radio is installed on quick connects that I mount to the cage, and have to remove after each run or they will get stolen.

And as far as the price, Genright is actually a "deal" or spot on with this offering for almost plug and play. I contacted 3 different friends fab shops and sent a picture of DSH-2010 and said how much to make this for my LJ....even with a "bro-deal" you can almost double that price for a one-off!

Damn, thats rewarding! Glad to read all that. Hope you pick one up soon and share some pics with us.

Yeah, $600 isn't bad for that piece. I get friend-prices for a lot of stuff in that genre, and I can guarantee that I would be paying more for a comparable one-off product. It's somewhat of a niche market, yes, but if you're in that market the price is a bargain: no development, no templates, no prototypes, no fitting, no testing, no modifying, no refinement before production, no muss, no fuss, no waiting, no difficult clean-up, and it even juliennes fries.

Buy it, we will hold your drink if you take us along for the ride .

My question is how involved is changing the parking brake to electronic. As this console says it is required.
