What did you do to your TJ today?

got my new Rancho shocks it a few days ago, and finally got a day
when it could put it in without getting soaked.

I got 3 of the 4 shocks installed. when I went to install the 4th shock,
I found that the pressure wasn't right.
So back to Northridge 4x4 ... we will see how long it takes to get the replacement here...

Took mine in to get the front and rear diff oil changed and the tranny oil too.
Pretty sure the diff oil had never been done, so the rear looked like a milky coffee with 2 sugars, maybe some water had got in there. The front had some metal shavings but not enough to worry about.
I was going to do this myself but as I don't think that had been done in a very long time and if a bolt sheared its their problem and not mine. ;) I hate paying someone to do a job I know I can do but didn't want to risk having issues that I couldn't deal with under there.

I kind of put my center console in today. I say kind of because I still need to figure out how to bolt it down in the back. LOL My TJ didn't have the bolt holes so I will need to figure something else out. For now it is in and the front is held down. :D

I also installed my last purple LED light in the shifter bezel. :D

Where did you find the purple led for the gear indicator?

Dropped the windshield 😁

Aren't you going the other way this time of year? It gets pretty cold there in winter, right?
Yes we are, but @lxxtsy flipped down his windshield last year and it didn't seem that long ago...

As for the cold...we officialy hit Winter next month, not really that cold where I am maybe 40 degrees is about the low during the day , but the rain and stronger winds get more frequent.
I switched to Winter mode on the TJ last week :(

Mine went to the frame shop yesterday. It was interesting to see that the guy who owns it kept telling me to install a dropped pitman arm to fix my death wobble. I have tires waiting, they came in today and will get installed after the frame straigtening. If the steering wheel is off too much I will have to go back to the alignment shop to have the whole alignment rechecked. If the death wobble is still there after the new tires and balance, then I will take some measurements with a dial indicator and swap the track bar bushing with a Synergy DDB and see if that tightens it up enough.

Spent some quality time with the LJ in the shop this afternoon. I think I might have found the source of the popping I've been hearing and feeling going down the road. My driver's side front sway bar link has about 3/4 of an inch of play in the ball area at top. If it's not the popping, then at least replacing the sway bar links is a start on sorting it out. I'm ordering the parts this evening, so hopefully they'll be here early next week. I washed the bolt threads down with some Kroil when I found the problem.
Next up I replaced the side mirrors with some that mount to the windshield hinge so when the doors come off in the next week or so, I'll still have side mirrors. It's been an on again off again work in progress as the stock torx screws for the windshield hinge wouldn't budge. I ended up just drilling them out and retapping the holes. All better now. And yes those are CJ mirrors I'm using. I like them better than the Bisoner ones that I originally bought. I did use the Bisoner mounting brackets for the arms though along with the one of the Bisoner arms on the driver's side.
Before I left the shop, I gave the swaybar link bolts and nuts another dose of Kroil.

Got mine back from the frame shop, the hood actually aligns up now. Now i will need to adjust the rear axle by moving the left side forward and/or move the right back. Then i can adjust the front side to side and see where the wheel alignment ends up. The left side of the front axle is sticking out about 2" farther than the right from right fender flare.
