Who in here likes to hunt?

Very nice. I got the R9 as my back issues are catching up to me and surgery is next week. I bought it the year they came out and one word describes them... deadly! I would go as far as saying cheating, but it wouldn't want to offend anyone and legal is legal. Good luck with her, you won't believe how deadly the Ravin is.
Yes, I understand they are very accurate and deadly. A guy I know bought the Ravin 9 when it came out. I shot his and really liked it. The Ravin 10 had a couple upgrades from the 9.
Thanks ...

My neighbor has a Ravin 9, it's badass, I shot it at 80yards and it hits hard an accurate. If I ever get a crossbow, that's the one, very smooth, safe, and deadly.
Damn season is coming quick, I need to practice with my tree saddle and get the cobwebs off my bow. I don't have anything prepped for September yet.
Is till haven't gotten y two mounts from last year back yet.

Got my ground blind set up today.

So your season is in the summer in CA, you must have to field dress and stuff it with ice and then have a refrigerator to hang it in?
It's not that bad. Skin it and let it hang in the shade...it cools down and glazes over at night. Depending how warm it is, you'll need to get it into town in a walk in box in a day or two.

I caught this big guy that’s in my avatar in my back yard on the game camera and made the mistake of showing it to the wife, she warned me that I was not to hunt for this guy, since the wife is a great cook I took her advice. It seems like when the season starts most of the deer go nocturnal around here, or am I getting old and the tree stand is a great place for a nap?
That picture of the deer hanging is getting me in the mood to make some sausage!

Nothing wrong with a nap in the tree stand. Just open your eyes once in awhile to see if that buck has showed up.
I have 4 bucks hanging out here at the house. My wife named one. She said if she names it, I can't shoot it. She is a good cook too.

We have an early moose season here in BC. The hide has to come off right away. We use a mixture of water vinegar, and black pepper to clean up the quarters. The faster you can get this done, the better. Hang in the shade with lots of air movement. The meat will 'skin over' quickly, and the vinegar/pepper keeps the flies off.
We have a mobile meat cooler that will hold 20 moose quarters (5 moose) . . . once the meat has 'skinned over' it can go into the cooler.
We had a G-bear pull down a quarter while we were away from camp. He also ate my toothpaste, and bit the seat of my quad.
