Connecticut Connecticut mechanic or service?

I've used SVE Performance in New Haven, small shop but only works on Jeeps.

If that is the same guy that moved from Milford, he is the real deal. A machinist by trade, he’ll make the tools or parts for the fix.

It is the same guy, very friendly and helpful but I did not have the best experience with him. I had some death wobble I could not figure out so I brought it to Bill at SVE. He did fix the death wobble but he called me and said the Jeep would now stall at every red light or stop sign. He kept the Jeep for another week and could not figure it out and told me to come get it.

So I went in with death wobble and left with that fixed but a Jeep that would stall out.

I then found Frank at A&F Mohegan in Shelton, and while he is a general mechanic, he solved the problem in minutes. He said my distributer (we call it the OPDA) was out of timing and adjusted it. Since then he does all work that is above my pay grade on my cars/Jeep and has done a great job. Inexpensive as well.

Nice. Good to know. I've also had really good experiences with mild to wild in orange. I tried rebuilding my traclok and failed. I brought him the carrier and clutch packs and for $50 he had it rebuilt.

I forgot about those guys, and now that I think of it, you may have previously told me that they did your re-gear. One time I did use them when I first got the Jeep 10 years back, they were recommended by someone in my town, and they swapped some sensors for me. This was before I knew of forums and when my toolbox consisted of a hammer and, well just a hammer.

Wow, bringing back memories as the guy who recommended them seemed they a great dude, but then the internet said otherwise.
