SJ’s TJ

I’ve been a busy bee the last couple of months. I did and SYE, Barnes4WD bolt on skid, Novak transfer case cable shifter and Adams CV driveshaft:

I also added some other goodies such as a rear Dana 44 with ARB locker, 33 spline cromo shafts and 4.88 gears:

Matched that up with a HP Dana 30 that was beefed up with an Aussie locker and matching 4.88 gears:

I went ahead and added some on-board air as well:

Busy indeed! Looks like it's coming along quite nicely though.
Much appreciated Chris. As you can see from the picture of the Dana 44, I need a gas tank skid. So that has been ordered. I went with the Metal Cloak since the guy who did my gear swap is giving me a hook up as he is a dealer.

I’ve never been out there but I’ll have to try it out.
You really should. It's a small place, but they have everything from a nice drive through the woods to buggy only features and everything in between. The nice part is if something does break, you are never to far from camp. I want to try The Cove next which is even a little closer.

Let me know a little bit ahead of time and I can meet up with you. I live in Winchester about 20-30mins away from the Cove

Recently added the MC gas tank skid to the rig. You can also see the new Rancho 9000XL adjustables:

I also took the opportunity to install a JKS adjustable rear track bar:

I also put a 3/4” spacer on the front springs and found this:

The passenger side sway bar bracket snapped off at some point. Found a local guy to weld on new brackets on Thursday. Will post up pics when it’s done.

I added some MORryde HD tailgate hinges. Got pretty lucky and only had to drill out one torx bolt. I just heated first before trying to loosen.

Since I was only adding the hinges and not the whole system, I had to modify the tailgate a bit for the third light connector pins. I lost one in the process which is a bummer.

The only difference between that and the full system is the tailgate/hinge plates, correct? Oh and the roll-bar brace. I’m thinking of ordering just the hinges and cutting my own plates(free)

I believe that is correct, just those 2 plates. One on the tailgate and one on the body. Jusr go ahead and make 2 sets and I'll pay you for them buddy :)

Sure thing. Its not worth the extra $250 to me to buy those pieces. I’d like to get the hinges around Christmas time but I will keep you informed 👍🏼

Decided it was time to go full tummy tuck on the Freebird. Went with the UFC since Savvy isn’t an option for the 2.5L. I went ahead and cleaned up the middle part of the frame as well:
