Down one stock fog light. What’s the best street legal fog light for the TJ? Hoping to use existing location on stock bumper.
Cheers

I bought the KC slimlite fog lights. They have 2 kits. They have a 55 watt kit that’s plug and play and a 100 watt kit. I bought the 100 watt, and it’s almost too bright for street use. The 100 watt one you should run a separate relay for

Thanks! KC is all I’ve been able to locate so far. Looks like the 55 watt might be the winner.

I used these cheap versions, can be found on amazon. I did have to redo the wiring without the factory plugs, i couldnt find any and due to how it was damaged (some one literally ripped it off my bumper) i couldnt use the old ones. But they were cheap and look about the same. Definitely not as sturdy plastic.

Remarkable Power FL7091

The only thing I didn’t like about the KCs was the rock guard, but fortunately they just pop off so you can run it like the old lights

I wired up a set of rigid duallys to the factory switch

I had one broken so I replaced them with Ridgid Industries side shooters and I'm pretty happy with them. just wired them to the fog light switch on the turn signal pod so they switch like the OEM's did. Street legal, probably not, but I'm not too worried about that.

Did you use the existing OEM wiring, and just plug and play or did you have to rewire everything?

I bought these for around 60 bucks. I had intended to use the new fog light mounting brackets. But found the OEM ones fit much better. So hang on to those. You may want to use them.

You can also refurb the stock ones very easily. Taking them apart and painting them is nothing. I got that far and then decided I wanted aftermarket in yellow. It helped that they were only 60 bucks too. There is a thread around here on how to restore the lenses and replace the bulb.
