Do the tabs just bump into the bottom of the crossmember to keep the bottom of the bumper from folding up?
That's the idea.

Wiring is done. Light bars are very important to have on a Jeep these days.

Yesterday I chopped up my new front bumper and put it back together.
I needed room for the light bars and a license plate. The answer I saw was to move the winch back as far as I could by extending the deck towards the grill.

Thanks for making me feel better about test fitting my bar this weekend. I feel like such a poser... and my Jeep hasn't gone offroad in 2 years so that's not making me feel any less poser either... lol.
It's good seeing what needs to be done to this bumper to bring it up to snuff and good seeing you're doing it.

Funny thing just reading your thread updates, I am looking at some Telluride trails for an upcoming trip and saw this picture: https://www.telluride.com/uploads/site/gallery/Jeeping-6-medium.jpg from https://www.telluride.com/activities/jeepingoff-roading .
The law says I do. It looks much better without.Do you *need* a front plate?

There are a couple exceptions, but none apply to a Wrangler.Does the law have a condition for vehicles that were sold without front plates from the dealer? From a design and practicality standpoint it's so much better imho. Put it in the back and if you get a fix it ticket zip tie it on?
That's what I'm thinking. I'm avoiding the fairlead because I want to not think about removing a license plate on special occasions.Probably the best mounting option you are going to come up with minus attaching it to the fairlead somehow.
