Replaced Headlights with Truck-Lite Knockoffs

When I try to adjust mine, I run out of adjusting room and they cannot be aimed any lower. They should be lower than they are at.

That’s the issue I had. I was still blinding people when aimed as low as I could.

I had to adjust mine way down but I got them low enough to where people don't flash me all the time. The light flares up at the edges of the road so I'm sure it gets bright just as people pass me on the opposite side of the road. For the cost I'm happy though. Way brighter than the stock candles.

As I stated before in the thread, safety and quality are afterthoughts when it comes to buying knock off products. Aiming issues are proof, above that; dangerous.
Sounds like not everyone has trouble aiming them. I adjusted it until the screws wouldn’t turn anymore. I don’t believe it has anything to do with being a “knock off” of the real things. They work great. Just turned out it wasn’t my cup of tea. Too bright for my liking.

This whole don't buy knock offs argument is ridiculous. If we didn't have "copy" products a TV would cost millions of dollars because there would be only one manufacture, thus no competition. Almost everything in this world is a "copy" of an original product .. TVs, phones, tires, engines, vehicles, beer, toilets, toilet paper, I could go on an on but I think you get the point. So call a poor product a poor product for what it is not because it's a copy.

Let's use a winch as an example. Who built the first winch? Let us say it was WARN, if no one copied it the price of a WARN winch would be ridiculous, instead, hundreds of other companies "copied" what WARN did and it brought competition to the winch market. Now, not all winch products are are created equal, but do we blame them for creating a "knock off" or a WARN winch or do we just say they have an inferior product?

There is a difference between two separate takes on an item and copying it exactly.

When a company decides to purchase an item, reverse engineer it, and recreate it like for like without changing anything, that's not okay. When I was making Jeep parts, I would look at all the options on the market, take inspiration from certain elements I liked, and incorporate them into my design only after checking to make sure it wasn't patented. But never would I go and cut a spider logo in my bumper, or make it the exact same shape as another one.

One is being a smart, the other is being a thief.

I know most of us want to buy Made in America, but these KNOCK-OFFS were less than 1/3 the price of the Truck-Lites so I thought I would give them a try ... WOW! what a difference over stock.

They still need adjusting, but I thought I would post pics anyway.

Bought what I believe are the same lights to replace the factory lights which I thought were just plain dangerous. They have been installed for about a month. The improvement is absolutely fantastic. The dims are far better than the brights of the factory lights. Spent the time to adjust them so oncoming traffic rarely flashes for me to dim. Paid $108 for mine. They shipped from HK.

Building something to compete with Trucklite, similar to what JW Speaker did is not copying or ripping off and yet without knocking off Trucklite, JW Speaker was able to bring competition to the LED Jeep headlight market... JW Speaker came to market with something similar but with a different approach. What this thread does is advocate for 100% knock offs of a genuine product.

After 18 months my WHDZ lights failed. There was tons of rain yesterday and the seals must have failed.

6 months out of warranty.
